    I'm a 1a type of yoyo player, but I love seeing the freehand style. It's the coolest style in my opinion. I love your vids btw.

      @@satacombre they are yoyo playing styles. 1A is the Classic One , where the string is attached to the finger and to the yoyo. In 5A , the One in this video, the string is attached to the yoyo and to a counterweight, usually a gaming dice. So you can't attach the string to the finger but you have to grab the counterweight. Tricks are made by launching the counterweight or usually just the 1A tricks with some variation because of the string not attached to the finger. I'm sorry for some errors but English is not my first language

    I didn't know the terminology of yoyo before, though this 5a looks much more fun than the 1a that I did in high school. Might have to dig out my yoyo, grab a counterweight, and give it a try.

    I use to do free hand and off string yo-yoing at Utah valley University in 2008. This guy has some sick moves that I've never seen before. Out of this world!

    This was beautifully shot! I always watch the yoyo world championships so I'm spoiled but this one was up there! I especially appreciated the close ups and slow mos! Counterweight is such a fascinating play style to watch!

      They record in a higher framerate than 60 fps. They scale it down to 30 fps because of slomo.
