Nice info on the cylinder bore conditioning. 👌 Can a original bore which is having corrosion due to non-usage and exposure to moisture, be restored by this process? Kindly share the piston and cylinder service info pages of the service manual you have. Thanks
For cleaning of cylinder you can use warm water, dish cleaning liquid with scotch-brite (green)scrubber, works best. for manual, just search rxg manual.
How did you chamfer it? Is it DIY or we need to take it to a reboring centre? Appreciate your input. With hand file it's hard to reach the transfer ports.
I did it on my own. I used a rotary tool, if you search on amazon you will find a variety of them, i have a black and decker one. One most important point is to make sure you clean the block/ cylinder very nicely with scotch brite and dish soap very nicely post any cylinder work like boring or chamfering.. or else the left over grit will screw up the rings and cylinder
@@chiradip24 ok bro. Can you share the link for grinding bit that you used for this purpose because selection of wrong bit will chip the cylinder wall. Thanks for replying bro. I Will use a ingco mini grinder with flexible shaft attachment but suitable bit for this job isn't available in my location.
In short can you confirm if performance is good if to ahead with Goetze cylinder. I'm planning to buy one, but mechanic said performance is not good so I'm skeptic now. Do confirm plz
Use logic, what are the available options, in comparison to sleeved or fake Chinese cylinders, this is a better option and anyways you can always bore up to the next size as per your specifications. New cylinder reduces the mechanics bill, so it is obvious that he would try to route you where he is benefited maximum. secondly, if you have the budget then go for original cylinder or king kit, these are still available and they reduce risk and guarantee performance. hope this helps.
Bro since you are from Guwahati i would like to know where you buy RX100/135 parts from. Last time i went to yamaha spares dealer they didn't have any parts for 2 stroke yamahas
Every machanic that i asked said that it is not worth it to go for a goeteze block,but i asked everyone the same question that show me the bike with a goetze,they just say that we worked on a bike a while back 😂,i am just curious that is it really worth it or should we invest more for a original yamaha block
