They're a small indie dev team, how DARE you expect a team with an added, extra bonus month's worth of dev time to actually add something new for once!! Let alone a feature that was added on expac launch?? ENTITLED is what you are!! How dare you!! Okay but for real, how the hell did they not think of that??? If we're gonna wait so damn long for a patch, you'd think they'd be able to put in the bare minimum. And before anyone even thinks that dye channels are hard work, it's literally a colorset in the game's files, stuff is lightwork. Gear is nice, but no dyes? Boo-womp.
At this point I don’t understand why they don’t enable dying most everything Especially going to the trouble to add two dye channels… Like why do all the work, but not add it to new stuff as it’s being made and THEN adding it later when no-one really cares about the gear anymore

Wanted to make that caster coat purple, but guess not. Thanks Yoshida. May be able to make it work by shifting my colour scheme a little. At this point there's no excuse to not make everything dyeable.

Finally, couldn't get a drop for maiming and they need to stop with the mystery role guessing game. So the outfit that match tanking is striking and since they showed only the female tanking, thinking female lose out on pants and greaves but only the pants they lose out on and greaves are striking only, weird choice, that look like something tank would have. So maiming get white Morag, not sure if I should still try to get it. Edit: wait a minute, healer is red and casting blue?! with no dyeing Oh hel nah.
IMO the Fender set looks fantastic. Very in-sync with what I've had my PLD glam for a while (Ivalician Holy Knight's Armor). Casting also looks great, gives that "rugged, adventuring mage" feel. Though Healer looks the exact same, I like the colours a lot better on Caster. Striking was meh. Maiming/Scouting/Aiming are all ones that are either tertiary classes or I don't use, and I feel like I dodged a bullet on em since they are all the same (and kinda meh). Will I be grinding for any of these? Unlikely. Will be a "Maybe if I see it during a roulette" sorta thing, especially since they are only i705. Great for fresh lvl 100s, at least.
@zaynethtroistal1130 ff always had sci-fi so I don't mind more modern stuff especially with Alexandria in dawntrail. The thing is they need more fantasy casual fits in the game since there isn't much comparatively. Unless you count low level ugly arr gear
There's alot of odd choices going on here. Design wise, they don't give off the vibe of "Secret lab attempting to create super weapons", but i can get past that. (And yes i know its based likely on the gear that they wore here, before it was a secret lab attempting to create super weapons). The lack of them been dyeable is just odd, cause i have question, has anyone asked Yoshi-P ever and gotten a good answer on what makes them decide which gear is dyeable and which is not? I'd love to know if he has given an answer on this, and if not, can someone ask him an interview? Because this isn't a one off issue. Its a constant issue that happens alot.
@@ThePhookas Or if we're lucky just a later patch in the same expansion, though the case I'm thinking of was in Endwalker where a base armor got a dyeable one in a later patch, so maybe not. Luckily (or maybe unluckily since grinding gear) thanks to your video I know that the Striking set might actually be a possibility for my Monk glamour anyways, so thanks for the preview even though it's most likely just going to add to my suffering in the end.
I love that because they added a second dye channel people assume they are now required to make _every_ piece dye-able. I guess I missed that part of the patch notes.
@Shiirow I mean, what's keeping them from doing it? When the Troian sets came out, plugins showed that they had dye channels, but they weren't activate in vanilla. We had to wait 'till Dawntrail to be able to dye the quest gear version of them.
I feel like most people complaining want more cutesy outfits rather than outfits that, y'know, fit the theme of a dungeon. Like I dig most of these sets, since it fits the idea that its a long lost military outpost so obviously you'll find old uniforms from that era of Tural's history. Its like if you were to stumble upon a WWII-era German bunker and get frustrated that there's no kevlar vests and just old military jackets from that war. Sure the argument can be made that modern military forces could comandeer a bunker, but they wouldn't be in a rush to evacuate to where they'd leave behind valuable equipment like the Germans were in 1945
Ah, another long coat dress armor. Can the scouting at least have some shirt style armor or sleeveless ones? Non-dyeable dungeon gear is fairly common, guys. Give it like two patches and we'll get a crafted variant(or a variant from a different optional dungeon or something) I bet.

@@MyVanir The issue I have with a lot of the 51-70 sets is they either (A) are not dyeable/only have one dye slot, or (B) they are of a much different texture quality than the rest of the newer sets, which makes it painful to put glams together. I was hoping that we'd get more gear texture/dye upgrades than we did this latest patch.
