I’ve noticed also that my toddler having his own room and “ responsibilities “ to take care of and clean is such a good step towards independence and growth. Incorporate learning activities in his daily routine and he will advance fast in school as well. Just some tips on what worked for my toddler as well. He is so cute and blessed to have yall as parents 🤍

Idea for koa is if he is refusing to take naps in his room and falls asleep in your bed pick him up and place him in his bed so every time he wakes up he will be in his bed on his own untill he gets used to it. you can then start him in his room. And hopefully that will help him feel comfortable and rain music on is so helpful for my toddler too mine is about to turn 3 and I did this a couple times but we weren’t fully ready to have her sleep by herself fully at night yet lol it’s so hard 😢them all by themselves at night is so scary! Anyway good luck 💕
Try to keep the tv up high where he can’t reach it or knock it over! Definitely recommend a nightlight or red light bc if you plan to keep the tv on all night the exposure to blue Uv light can be too much

The room is so nice , very minimal which is great, I suggest some vibrant colored curtains and a cushion for his window nook and maybe a bed gate depending if he’s good without it and get a door bell so at night when he gets up to go to your bed you’ll hear him I’m sure you have a baby monitor if not get one it gives you a piece of mind 👍 Good luck to him he’s gonna fine 🙏
Des I would recommend putting the tv on wall not shelf. He may start climbing and it would be so scary if it fell on top of him. You did an amazing job putting bed together ❤
If you haven’t already I think getting your house windows tinted would help add to safety precautions. The ones you can see out but no one can see inside your home.
Get a wall mount for the tv on the wall where the pictures are and put the pictures on top of the toy stand right where the tv sits! So if he moves the stand the tv won’t fall on him also to avoid any toys hitting the screen! Worked soo well with all my tvs having them up and away from the kiddos!
Hi you should get bed rail guards so he doesn’t fall off. That’s a high bed for a toddler. Usually toddler beds are close to the ground or on the ground.
I love this for Koa!! For the teddy bears I would highly suggest either a teddy bear corner hammock or the corner stuffed animal storage. Also I agree with the others on mounting the tv. Love you guys, God bless you ❤

Love the new bed! Coming from a mama of 4(one being nonverbal severe autistic) i would put bed rails on both sides of the bed and mount the tv up high. If your baby likes to throw toys or climb the tv will end up on the floor lol. Love yall! Also if he is over 3 years old now, insurance will actually send u diapers for free!! ❤️
Mount the tv in the front wall for safety since his toys are right under the tv itll be scary it can fall over. Also he can see tv from straight and not turned

The TV would look better if it’s mounted on the wall where Koa’s pictures are… Better aesthetically, easy to watch tv while laying on the bed and most importantly, it’s much safer to mount than to keep it on the shelf. Then his pics can go above the shelves.

That bed looks so comfy 😊. Koa is still very young so its going to take time and patience. I know my son would fall asleep with us but we would just move him into his bed and he would half the time stay in his bed. Also letting him fall asleep in his bed helped to. The first few times wont be easy but eventually he will dtay asleep in it. 😊
I’m confused she said they used it for a week and it’s been great 🤔 then after they said koa was sleeping in their bed still. Sounds like they just said it was great for the AD without trying it
We just had our 2 year old start sleeping in his crib in our room a couple months ago because we were co sleeping. It was becoming way too much. 😂 We wanted him to get used to sleeping away from us. It was challenging to get him used to it. I put a chair next to his crib and kept letting him know it’s time to sleep. It’s all about keeping it a routine. In a couple more months we are going to start having him sleep in his own room with a full size bed! Hopefully lol
Des! i think you guys should swap the placement of the tv stand/tv & the pictures. i think it would be easier for koa to watch tv without the window glare on the tv, and the pictures would be a good space filler for the bigger wall 🙌🏼 but if you're worried about not having enough room to walk or for him to play with his toys by moving the stand, maybe just mount the tv at the foot of the bed where the pictures are now. and to add more to the room maybe you could get some nice reflective wall sticker art/ decals from amazon to put on the walls. and you should get a little space man night light for him, the one that displays stars on the ceiling and different color waves. i have one for my son. just a suggestion 💕 my son and koa look alike and are very much alike. my son is non verbal, and has autism. you're great parents, and koa is such a big boy 🫶🏼 you're doing great, never feel like you aren't doing enough
I I love the room, but I must say you guys just haven’t been the same since y’all moved from California. I understand the selling the house may be a journey, but you guys are Cali, not Texas. The vibes just aren’t the same, and Destiny looks so sad and stressed. This is just me looking outside in, but I really think you guys should consider moving back to California because that was y’all’s happy place. Y’all have been looking depressed since y’all moved here, but I will continue to watch as I have, but that’s just my opinion.

We just had our 2 year old start sleeping in his crib in our room a couple months ago because we were co sleeping. It was becoming way too much. 😂
We wanted him to get used to sleeping away from us. It was challenging to get him used to it. I put a chair next to his crib and kept letting him know it’s time to sleep. It’s all about keeping it a routine. In a couple more months we are going to start having him sleep in his own room with a full size bed! Hopefully lol

Des! i think you guys should swap the placement of the tv stand/tv & the pictures. i think it would be easier for koa to watch tv without the window glare on the tv, and the pictures would be a good space filler for the bigger wall 🙌🏼 but if you're worried about not having enough room to walk or for him to play with his toys by moving the stand, maybe just mount the tv at the foot of the bed where the pictures are now. and to add more to the room maybe you could get some nice reflective wall sticker art/ decals from amazon to put on the walls. and you should get a little space man night light for him, the one that displays stars on the ceiling and different color waves. i have one for my son. just a suggestion 💕 my son and koa look alike and are very much alike. my son is non verbal, and has autism. you're great parents, and koa is such a big boy 🫶🏼 you're doing great, never feel like you aren't doing enough
I I love the room, but I must say you guys just haven’t been the same since y’all moved from California. I understand the selling the house may be a journey, but you guys are Cali, not Texas. The vibes just aren’t the same, and Destiny looks so sad and stressed. This is just me looking outside in, but I really think you guys should consider moving back to California because that was y’all’s happy place. Y’all have been looking depressed since y’all moved here, but I will continue to watch as I have, but that’s just my opinion.
