It's incredible, my set is sat in its box, in my office and the start of your video is how long I have had it After watching its gave me a fire to crack it out and continue 30 years later I'm very intrigued to the led beacon and how you do this, please share as much info as you can I also have a scale queen alien to go with this set Thank you for letting the inner kid back out 😀
Fun fact. Before this kit came out, there were promo pics for it along the side of the other Aliens modelkit boxes... but in all pictures the frames of the powerloader was obscuring Ripleys face. That was because Halcyon did NOT had permission (yet) to use Sigourney Weavers likeness. Thats why the kit itself was delayed...
1> Assuming this will go on a base of some sort to accommodate the power for the light etc. Maybe add some 3D printed cargo boxes like Ripley picks up? 2> One step further... is there a Queen/generic xenomorph model you can pair with this?! :) 3> Quite a bit further... if you can make a full diorama with the loader and a xenomorph, I think it was ... was it a tauntaun build where you actually cut off Luke's head and 3D printed a new one because it looked so bad? lol Maybe you can do the same thing here to fix that atrocious Ripley model.
It will go on a base. Originally in the 90’s I was going to do a diorama with my queen. My queen was built back then and I still have her. But I just don’t have the room to build a base for both and do a diorama like I originally wanted to do. Plus again, the Ripley is horrible. I did look for 3d heads to swap unsuccessfully.
I’ve got a reissued mpc EMPIRE Snowspeeder that I started building back in 1993 and abandoned. The two pilots provided, look worse than the Ripley figure in the Halcyon kit.
