Heading here, Islamorada, at end of April/first week of May 2022 with the 7 of us (5 kids between 12 and 16). This video was great! Thank-you! I found it though watching your other videos as it’s our plan to explore the keys the next few years to see where we would want to spend, at least the winter months, once the youngest ones graduate in 2028. Likely buying before then though. Thanks again!
Swam with the dolphins at Theater of the Sea in 2014! Fabulous experience - $$$ but worth every penny! Just me with 2 adult females & a baby for 30 minutes! We stayed in KCB! Hope we can go back someday.
Oh so nice to see all these things again....yup...had the tourist pics taken with the lobster...LOL....we bought the most beautiful seashell/wood cross from one of those shops....Loved it.
I’m going for you 6th time in a few days and I have been to these places before they are awesome and y’all did a great job (robbies is also a very good restaurant and you can feed tarpan)
Only time I’ve been to the keys was 30 years ago and the objective was to party really hard! Thank you for the alternative solution! Very informative video! Thanks!
I don't know what it is but I always love the seaside/lakeside giftshops of tourist destinations like the Worldwide Sportsman, etc. If in the Great Lakes, near the Pacific, the Carolinas, Gulf Shores, or Florida they are always great to visit.
You guys should go on Jungle Queen in Ft Lauderdale on the dinner cruise. If you do,and Capt. Luis is still working there, let him know you know of me.I worked there as a mate/maint 87-92.They have videos on their website and prices(much more than when I worked there, lol) and other info.
That lobster wasent always located at the rain barrel. Of coarse there is also Robbies, where you can hand feed large Tarpon. But then how many times will you want to do all that stuff? And by then you will list your house for sale. lol
Love islamorda...stayed at the Drop Anchor a few times...love the Keys...found your channel a few months ago...must have seen 30 episodes. Would love to have a place there one day...my wife's loves it even more than me.
Well thanks for watching and commenting! It's just a Rode Video Mic Micro on a Sony AX53 camera, with a dead cat...thats it! I'm so glad that folks notice that we try our best to make it sound right!
Hey Guys loved the video. Just wondering. is there a cost at Robbie's to go see the tarpon? You gave a lot of good information. I want to drive down from Miami with my wife again so we can take our time and go to places like this. We usually just fly right into Key West but a drive is also nice to do as well, except for getting out of Miami. LOL Thanks again. Steve Bonds in Bay City, Michigan
Well there is a question I don't think I can answer with personal knowledge...we've never ridden our bikes up that way just around the Marathon area. I will say that most of the Keys have bike paths/lanes as so many people here ride bikes, but I really can't say whether you can ride safely in Islamorada. I'll check that out next time I'm up there! Thanks!
My wife and I want to return to the keys in October. Looking for a place on the water we could fish in front of the house. Stayed on channel at the mouth of a bay in Marathon but it’s booked when We are returning Can You guys help us find a place

Well, we won't rule it out, but Islamorada is about an hour by boat for us from Marathon so to be honest it's not on our short list. How about Sombrero Light...would that work??

Steve, there is a small charge to buy the bait fish that you feed the tarpons there with. I think it's less than $10....Thanks for watching.
I recently came across your channel and enjoying it. Thank you for sharing!
Can you safely ride bicycles in Islamorada?
Well there is a question I don't think I can answer with personal knowledge...we've never ridden our bikes up that way just around the Marathon area. Wish you showed more of the places instead of just the signs out front.
We'll try to do better next time! Thanks for watching.

Is the Alligator Reef close by?
Alligator reef is off of Islamorada which is about 35-40 minutes from Marathon.
@@GablesOnTheGo Can you do a video on it one day?
Well, we won't rule it out, but Islamorada is about an hour by boat for us from Marathon so to be honest it's not on our short list. How about Sombrero Light...would that work??
Oh ok. Yes that would be awesome!
