i find this guitar look stunning, i love the mahogany without binding apperance. i do agree with you the pickgaurd is a great idea and i with the slope shoulder t138 sd is gives it the j45 look. I like the refreshing change in classy simple guitar and unquie sound. But the question is this worth £250 because i have seen other brands what have the similar sound such as the vingtage v300mh what is £160 and the sigma DM15what is £230 is the tanglewood best choice? i realy like the slotted headstock
Hi there! Thanks for the video! I'm starting to lead worship at my Church and I'm debating between a Takamine G series or This Dreadnaught Tanglewood. Now put price out of the equasion. Which one would you recomend out of the two? THnaks
I have the T130, I absolutely love it and play it everyday. I have fitted a piezo pickup and EQ, for gigging. I've had it about a year and it is showing wear on the top.. ( I note your comment about a pickguard, but didn't fit one) I really like the way it has begun to develop a 'patina' but I wonder how much of it will be left in 40 years time lol. It is brilliant for playing with other guitarists because it has a distinctive tone which cuts through. A couple of my vids show me playing it, although I ain't that good!
It's 43mm nut (just measured it) and a C section neck. The slotted headstock gives it a classical guitar look (vaguely), but I don't find it any different to any other steel strung acoustic. It is a lot narrower than a classical, but not as narrow as some electrics.
Carl Flynn Edwards Awesome, thanks a lot. Just to bother you some more, would you recommend this guitar for someone who normally plays dreadnoughts? Cheers!
yes, it's a bit smaller than a dreadnought, but I prefer that. The sound is more distinctive too in my opinion, this means that when you are playing alongside another guitarist, you can be heard, handy when you venture into a lead riff up the fretboard. I'm very pleased with mine.

Would you say that it is aimed more toward a classical guitarist? The neck looks real thick.
