Oh, I'm so happy for them. It's stressful as a parent to see your child in pain and feel like you can't do anything. I'm sure Ivy is also feeling so much better and is so much happier. It took them way too long to see a dermatologist. I really wish it were easier to see specialists.

It took 52 years for me to be diagnosed with a hidden dairy allergy that had caused my eczema, I was this bad as a child.

It’s so ingrained in everyone that dairy is good for you and everyone needs it. It’s horrid because it’s not the case. And diagnosing the allergy/intolerance is almost treated as a “trendy” parent need where I live. Horrid.

They must check her diet!! Or if there is anything she is exposed to, like soap or laundry soaps.
My son had this same situation. He had bleeding red rashes. Long story short... he is allergic to corn. Corn in any form would set his skin off. It could be just corn, corn syrup (that is in anything!), or any other form. Stay off corn, and he had zero issues! It is worth a try!

I grew up with exzima, too. Hydrocortisone cream prescribed was what helped me. Even at my age (I'm retired), it still develops in the winter. I was also told sunshine helped with it.

I'm so happy for this lovely little girl. My daughter had a relatively mild case and still it was affecting her life a lot. She was not sleeping well because of the scratching and she was very self-conscious of the redness. It took us a year of try and error and we've finally found the right combination of creams that works for her.

As a child in the UK, every second friend of mine had eczema. Once I moved to Australia aged 8, I never met anyone with it again. I always found that to be very strange. Maybe it has something to do with the climate?

Laundry soap, bathing soap, to warm of water/long bath, clothes holding in to much heat will all cause and irritate Eczema. Lotion will make it worse it doesn't soak in skin it sits on top of skin. Creams are best. Light airy clothes, mild soap, barely warm baths as quick as possible, cream immediately after, and multiple times a day. Hypoallergenic Laundry detergent. My son has Eczema and we finally got a dermatologist that told us things that no other doctors did and we followed their advice and it cleared up. Even when it's cold outside and he has long pants and long sleeve on he gets Eczema in his arm creases and behind the knees from the body heat. Also found out he has severe allergies food and environmental, he gets hives, skin rashes from certain things he is allergic to. You have to try different things to figure out what works for your child.

All my family has eczema 😄 My two boys, my husband and me. We all learned how to live with it.
When you find the right cleaning products, the right amount of bath/showers, the right moisturizer and the right diet during crisis, it's really easier to handle. Crisis are shorter and smaller.

So, what exactly was the treatment that helped her so much……..she doesn’t say. I know she mentioned the ingredients and the temperature of THE CREAM might not suit her skin but didn’t go further into how this child got better. What cream???? I would like more detail if possible…i know each case is different but if we had more information to take to our own doctor, that would be helpful.

it would be nice to at least censor the kids face. she never got asked how she would feel about this 10 years later to be on the internet and the internet, sadly, never forgets. So not only did the parents not consider how she might feel later about this, but also this might give predators a wider plattform, which is the worst thing, you can do to your child as a parent.
its nice that she got better, no doubt. but this kind of footage might be missused or might embarres her in the future. it breaks my heart, to see how many parents allow this nowadays...
    just censor the face.... please.....
