Root digit of 761 is 7 because at the end 5*5 is 25 which will become 7. So both 761 and 769 root digit is 7(of the number 591361) which is confusing. Plz correct me if I'm wrong.

instead of digital sum we can go for the multiplication of first digit with the immediate greater digit i.e. 8×9 = 72 which is higher than 70 ( first two digits of number) so the smaller root will be the answer
Great video sir, My suggestion is that instead of finding root digit we can do below given step..Let's take the same example as of sir sqrt(708964) so we got out pairs as "70,89,64".....now we know the last digit will be "2" or "8"....now find the first term so it is "8".Now using sir's method find the second term.We now have 2 terms "848" and "842" ...Now here is the change,instead of finding root digit,we can simply do "first digit * first digit+1" i.e. 8*9=72 .....so 72 is greater than "70"(which is our first term of the question) so we will go for smallest option for the last space i.e. "2".......so 842 is the answer.....If it was smaller than the first term then we must have used the larger option.Please give it a try and revert back which method you find easy.Thank you again for a great video sir.

That is only a little less than my desired answer, and to get a final digit of 9 in the answer the square must be either 523 or 527. 523 seems more likely and I can check both sides of the equation by casting out elevens. 523 is correct because I get a 3/11 remainder on both sides of the equation.

Guyz, to answer your Question, since you have to chose between 1 and 9.. The basic selection is, since the 1st number is 7, multiply it by the next number so it's 7x8 it's equal to 56.. If the given is greater than the product, choose the higher number, if it's less than, choose the lower. In this case we've got 7x8 = 56, and 59 as the 1st two number on the given is greater than 56, so you choose 9 as the last number.. That's what we do in 4 digit square root. Thanks!

I tried to find the square root of a number (732736), using the digital sum method you showed us. The results of the square roots I got were ( 854), and (856). The digital sums for all the three numbers (732736) , (856) and (854)come to (1). Then how can I certainly tell people which one is the correct answer in a situation like this? In the example you gave as 591361, the root digit for all the three numbers (761), and (769) is (7). Therefore how do you choose 769 based on the root digit as an answer unless you use a calculator for verification.
732736 Possible roots are 856 and 854 whose digital sum matches with that of the given number 732736. In that case, multiply 85 by its next higher number,i.e.86. 85*86 = 7310 Compare this number with 36 7327 > 7310. Hence choose the greater value number among 854 and 856. So 856 is our answer.

sir,the concept for finding square root of 6 digit by finding out root digit is confusing in a condition where,the root digit of two options(i.e smaller and bigger number) is same and equal to the root digit of given number.like in the case of 591361.is it 761 or 769.root digit for both is 7.

For query of example of 591361 is that first two digit is 59 then first digit will be 7 because of 7*7=49 now take +1 of first number which is 7 so 7+1 is 8 and multiply 8 with 7 which is 56. now compare 59 to 56. 59 is bigger than 56 so our answer last digit is big which is 9. so, answer is 769.

Guyz, to answer your Question, since you have to chose between 1 and 9.. The basic selection is, since the 1st number is 7, multiply it by the next number so it's 7x8 it's equal to 56.. If the given is greater than the product, choose the higher number, if it's less than, choose the lower. In this case we've got 7x8 = 56, and 59 as the 1st two number on the given is greater than 56, so you choose 9 as the last number.. That's what we do in 4 digit square root. Thanks!

So to find & match the answers :
1) 761 x 761
= 14 x 14
= 5 x 5
= 25 i.e. 2+5 = 7 (matching root digit)
And
2) 769 x 769
= 22 x 22
= 4 x 4
= 16 i.e. 1+6 = 7 (matching root digit)
In this question, both the probable answers 761 and 769 are matching the root digit 7. How to decide tgat 769 is correct square root?

I tried to find the square root of a number (732736), using the digital sum method you showed us. The results of the square roots I got were ( 854), and (856). The digital sums for all the three numbers (732736) , (856) and (854)come to (1). Then how can I certainly tell people which one is the correct answer in a situation like this? In the example you gave as 591361, the root digit for all the three numbers (761), and (769) is (7). Therefore how do you choose 769 based on the root digit as an answer unless you use a calculator for verification.

In that case, multiply 85 by its next higher number,i.e.86.
85*86 = 7310
Compare this number with 36

Hence choose the greater value number among 854 and 856.

Friends...don't think heavily...761 and 769 are both root digit...then we are calculate each other ..761 square=579121 and 769 square is 591361... that's the answer....
