    @ggermek I'm British, and what I find with American comedy is that the actors feel they have to try to be funny to get the jokes across, turning them into "over-acting" clowns. I studied acting and what my tutors always taught me is that, If the scene is funny and well written, just act and the script will do all the work. Hense why the British version is so realistic looking. Over here, some people actually thought it was a documentary! Saying that, I like the American version, just not as much

    • @TheClassicWorld
      @TheClassicWorld 6 лет назад +10

      They still do, 7 years after your comment. I saw crazy Americans a few days ago, saying how poorly acted the original Office version was (proving only that they are wrong since that's the point: realism). Irony. Such a shame.

I watched this version LONG before the U.S version came out and was hooked immediately! I think Tim's character is spot on with his sharp wit and funny demeanor... as opposed to going with the classic "Good Looking, Perpetually Cool Guy" that Hollywood felt a need to give John Krasinski's charactor. It's just most the posts are really more of a "Us Against You" bullshit.

    @MrBuckeyeFan The two versions set out to achieve different things. The American version has become so successful because it features the in-your-face, loud humour that Americans love so much. The British version wanted to be original and reflect the real awkwardness of the office workplace. By keeping the series short, it stayed funny. I do actually like the American one, but sometimes it's just a bit over the top.

    @hisssyffffit which ever one you think is funnier, the english one is more original and was the one that had to be made from a blank canvas... I could of written the american one because it's easy when you have such a strong inspiration...

    Is there anyone else who thinks that this was a real reaction? as in the actress who plays Donner didn't expect what was going to appear on the screen, if you look at her reaction she turns round and stares at somebody whilst laughing
