Dead Island 2 is an action role-playing game developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver. It was released on April 21, 2023, and is the sequel to Dead Island (2011), following up on the original's story with a fresh setting and new characters.
The game is set in California, with players exploring several iconic locations, including the city of Los Angeles. Unlike its predecessor, Dead Island 2 takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a zombie outbreak has ravaged the United States. The outbreak has caused widespread devastation, and the authorities have quarantined the affected areas, leaving the survivors to fend for themselves.
