The Union Pacific Heritage Donation Special, night arrival in Fremont, Nebraska

On November 15, 2022 I had the opportunity to see Union Pacific Challenger 3985, 2-10-2 5511, Centennial 6936, and a few other pieces of historic equipment being transported to from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Silvis, Illinois arriving in Fremont, Nebraska at 10:00 PM. Hours before the special train arrived I filmed a few freight trains that were going through town. The freight trains kept coming until at 10:00 PM the special arrived. It was so great to see these unique trains in person and also do some railfanning in my home state and I must say it was worth it. I am also excited that the new owners of this equipment the Railroading Heritage of Midwest America have plans to restore this equipment to operation and I can't wait to see this stuff running again. Keep on steaming.
