I have the very same unit and about to go check that reset button and then maybe purchase that same capacitor... here we are, June 3rd 2023 and its been HOT HOT HOT... I bet that Cap went bad.
Alignment issues, take your time to line them up, believe me when a vendor comes to do that, they just zip it into a hole crooked or make new holes. You are trying to get it back to perfect like what I would do.
What do I do when I fix it, but once my ac turns off and wants to turn on again the fan doesn’t spin once again until I push the reset button and spin it
Well done and thank you for your generosity.
No worries, always trying to help people out, that's what my channel is all about and thanks for watching too...

Just make sure its the exact specifications as the old one, I don't know how you folks survive with that Texas heat...😆
Oh Alleluia!!! I pressed the reset button and it started back up!!! Yeah Boy!!!!!!!
If it blows again then its the capacitor

Would you be able to get the type of compressor for this unit? I am unable to read the part info for my unit
Model is UAMB-042JAZ if this helps you out
I mistakenly took the screws off the side covers trying to clean the outside of the coil - now the screws won't go back in...why?

I hope the capacitor is my problem. I'm checking tomorrow
Good luck...

You changed out the capacitor already?
Anything on the circuit next to the condenser as far as what to watch for
Nothing you can see with the naked eye
Fan run when I spin it then stop when temp is reached but won’t spin the next time ac comes on do you think it’s the fan motor
Fan is spinning so that is good, sounds like the capacitor is not giving it the boost or jump start to go.
@@alyoungcuda now it’s not spinning at all do u think I need a stronger capacitor I replaced it with the same
5
Needs a new capacitor
That's what was changed here...
My AC unit has no reset button
That is weird, I know other manufacturers don't have one, maybe they phased it out?
Yeah but some ruud units have 2 capacitors, so which one goes bad?
They usually look bloated and fat when they go but if you have 2, change them both out, they are old enough
@alyoungcuda I just changed one and still no start! If push the contacts it runs so do I have a thermostat problem?
@@alyoungcuda and I looked up and down and didn't see any reset button at all.
@@jl456 thermostat is just an on and off switch, if you have 2 capacitors change the other one out
@alyoungcuda it was a bad board on the A/C unit. I bypassed the board and now I have A/C the board was preventing the contacters to engage.
