Yet another vulnerable video that I highly debated not posting… I ended up deciding to share it because if there’s someone out there who can relate to this or connects with anything I’m feeling, then it’s worth helping that person feel less alone. One of the hardest parts about being disabled is how isolated in your experience you can feel at times. If you live with disability or chronic illness, your experience is yours and yours alone, but there are people who can relate to what you live with, even if it can be difficult to find those people sometimes. Over the past few months I’ve been struggling on my self love and self acceptance journey, realizing my body isn’t all I wish it was for me sometimes and that’s okay. Sometimes we have to take a step back to take more steps forward and reach the next level.

Well said about declaring your disability. I'm partially sighted (20/50 and 20/200) and I'm always amazed how often I talk to people with low vision who don't know how to do that and struggle. This is a really helpful conversation that I hope helps others claim any issues they may have and reach out so they don't have to struggle. And that having an issue doesn't make you less perfect, we are all unique and can only ever be our perfect selves not an imperfect someone else

Hi Molly, I'm a 20 year old legally blind person from Lithuania. My vision is increasingly getting worse - right now i have 3-5% of my vision left, also i use -20 (diopter) glasses. I always knew that most likely I will sooner or later go blind which is scary. Because my left eye vision gets worse every year and it truly is a scary experience. Before COVID I tried to travel and see as much as I could.
I relate to your story a lot. So thank you for sharing your stories. 🙏🏻

I used to work in sales for a very male dominated industry. I legitimately had a customer say to me "I'd just really rather have a man's opinion." Thankfully, the man I looped in gave the advice that I was the expert and should be trusted.

Fellow ADHDer here. It definitely is a constant struggle! And I think people with ADHD are also highly self-critical which makes it harder. Self compassion is important and trying not to compare ourselves to neurotypicals!

Hi molly! I just wanted to let you know that I have been watching your videos for quite some time, and I cannot tell you how much confidence you have given me. I have struggled with finding out my mental disability these past years. It is hard because I am still in school my school does not give me any accommodations and my peers have been less than understanding. But seeing your videos always helps to make my day brighter. Thank you ❤️

Molly you're not weak. I have many of the same conditions, but actually caused by my eye condition. These things just make us stronger in other ways. It makes us more accepting of others with chronic illness and mental health issues.

Molly, this video was SO good! I've also been really unhealthy my entire life; I also suffer from IBS, and I have endometriosis as well as mental illness and it can be really hard to want to continue on. It feels so good to be able to listen to someone who really understands what it's like to constantly be fighting your own body and trying to figure it all out. Many hugs to you for being so vulnerable and honest

I absolutely understand why you have prioritised health issues, I have had to do that too. It's just impossible to focus on everything at once, even with people around helping you.

Your honesty gives so much strength to anyone who has ever struggled with mental or physical illness. Thank you for being so vulnerable because it is an authentic, pure truth which validates the pain we feel after any hard times we experience . Allowing yourself to grieve the lows whilst living hopefully for the highs is such a delicate balance, all the support and love to you going forwards.

Oh wow! I can’t believe they said that too you! I am chronically ill and disabled (neurological and autoimmune problems) and to be told that would be horrible! It’s not your fault. I can’t believe another disabled person said that to you. I am so sorry ❤️

It's a constant struggle. I'm struggling with my chronic eye pain lately especially with the weather changing, some days I have barely any pain, and other days my pain is so awful all I can do is sleep the day away. I feel so useless some days.
And I'm trying to date again, which is turning out to be a disaster! All the guys who have messaged me on Match have all stopped talking to me when they learn of my disabilities, and that I don't work, or live alone. I've added my disabilities to my profile on the advice of others, but honestly I doubt that adding it will make a difference. I'm at the point where I may just give up on dating all together.
