    How so you do it when you have to leave it in terms of Pi.

    • @BeattheCalculator
      @BeattheCalculator  6 месяцев назад

      When you are asked to leave it in terms of Pi, just plug your radius into the formula πr^2 and that’s your answer. For example, in the video, our radius was 2, so r^2 is 2^2, which is 4. Multiply this by Pi to give 4π square units as the area. Hope this helps!

    • @BeattheCalculator
      @BeattheCalculator  Год назад

      Pi is an irrational number (basically, a number that never ends) and so starts as 3.14159… and continues on forever. So, to 2 decimal places, pi is 3.14; rounded to 3 decimal places pi is 3.142. We have used 3 decimal places as it is slightly more accurate - hope this helps! 👍

    • @BeattheCalculator

      First, don’t be sorry! It’s cool to make mistakes, because we can make sure we don’t make them again. 3.142 * 2^2 is indeed 12.568. However, in our answer, we’ve rounded 12.568 to 2 decimal places, which gives 12.57! Your answer is correct, we’ve just rounded it! Hope this helps!
