  • One might wonder why I don't just walk right up to a horse's, or foal's head, and simply catch them when I first start working / training them.
Well, this comes down to creating a permanent understanding in the horse's mind of how our relationship will work going forward, versus the horse being the one to decide when he'll let us catch him and when he won't based on what he feels like on the day. Yes, the foal might have let us catch him with no hassle today, but tomorrow, we can't be so sure. So, I train my young horses, and any horse I work with, to come to me when I want to catch them.
This here is the start of that journey for this young little "Dreamer", out of my stud "One Brilliant Desire", and "OBD Dreamer's" (human) mom.
