I remember in Deerfoot Mall in Calgary, before it got converted to 'Deerfoot City', there was a machine in the middle of the mall along with some other games and DDR used to draw crowds. Me and my friends were really good at it and we'd attract people to stand around and watch sometimes for 20 minutes.
I only ever played DDR once, on school camp, and it was this song. I have no idea how I was able to track this song down some several years later to add it to my music library. Like, the song is catchy and great. But I was too busy playing the actual game at the time. I have no clue how I retained enough of this song to be able to find it when I did.
Is this the only case where a song in the starting song list was one of the toughest songs in the game (including the "final 12" at the end of DDREx2)? Because screw those jumps.
@@suiken3149 nah. This is definitely harder then both of those. I could do captain jack and RnP. Easily. Cartoon Heroes was always a struggle. The hops to gallops to hops on this song was bonkers.
I'm watching this now at 31 years old wondering how the fuck I passed this song back in the day. Hardest one I did when I was a kid was Bag...getting old sucks
Anyone know what this is on the new scale? I always found it hard for a 9. I can clear Sakura on expert, but not this one. And Sakura was rated 10 on Extreme. I know Sakura expert now ranks a 13 on the new scale, maybe this is a 14?
@@wwpl8371 I'd say the gallops make it a 14 even though it's not super difficult if you can get the pattern down. I miss this song. I was never good enough to play it on my feet back in the day and it's not on a20 :(
There are Dance Dance Revolution games for the Wii but the song selection is pretty much crap. If you've got the funds,I'd recommend importing the game (DDR EXTREME) and a PS2 from Japan. A lot of the tracks from the arcade are on it.
it's not on there but it is on DDR EXTREME2 in the US, and on EXTREME JP CS, but i thought the wii games were p nice, song direction is more refined and polished sure but it's still worth looking into since the games have some hidden gems plus ddr ii has tons of arcade song ports from X2 AC ik that some of the licenses in these games may be rotten onions & they are there but there are still konami originals in the game, it's just the way they're sorted is so people would just tend to look at the first few songs on the default sort and nope out and judge off of that alone while never bothering to take another look at the songlist/rest of the songs also one or two rotten onions don't make a song selection bad bc otherwise any game LET THEM MOVE is on is a stinker so yeah you do you but give the wii games a chance
Ahhh i miss the arcade at my mall.
This game is at my mall xD
I even got the arcade machine in my house. Its an supernova 2. And i can play all the songs. Including the ddr extreme super epic songs

The original song was from Aqua. They were quite famous back in the late 90s
Those were some Gaara Of The Funk level moves lol
same
Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. This took me back.
Twice as poppin fresh
I can even remember some parts of the song my feet are moving D:
I always felt like this should've been a 10 footer.
This used to be one of my warm-up songs along with Spin the Disc and Rhythm & Police back in the day lol. Memories.
thats a pretty hardcore warmup
A tough 9 footer alongside So Deep. Both wouldve been 14s on the new scale due to being tough 9 footers but not in the level as Max 300 Expert.
89 831 190 That so AMAZING! AA
Rhythm and Police is also very very close to a 14, but feels more like a late 13.
This is my favorite ddr song
Is this the only case where a song in the starting song list was one of the toughest songs in the game (including the "final 12" at the end of DDREx2)? Because screw those jumps.
Yeah it's definitely one of the hardest starting songs. Extreme 2's song list in general is really strong for a console game.
pain in the ass standard and heavy, Irresistiblement, speed over beethoven, etc. are easier than that one.
One of the hardest licenses in Extreme.
I think Rhythm and Police (K.O.G. Mix) and Captain Jack (Grandale Mix) is just as hard if not harder.
@@suiken3149 nah. This is definitely harder then both of those. I could do captain jack and RnP. Easily. Cartoon Heroes was always a struggle. The hops to gallops to hops on this song was bonkers.
This chart would be like a 14 on the X scale.
Definitely a 14 in modern DDR
1:23 You hate to see it. The black flag.
Whoever’s playing this must have legs like a jackrabbit.
That feel when one great... ;-;
i feel very nostalgic
So amazing it find this. But that scroll is way too fast for me.

I remember playing this when i was 13y old, good times
You got that one “great” in there to make it legit.
i came here after wondering how cartoon heroes (20th anniversary mix) will be in ddr A20..
@Iamasuperstar1000 dude it's 1 year ago lol.. but yeah it's the worst among 5 legend remixes
I remember beaten this song back in high school
anyone else go on a ddr tour down memory lane?
Every 8 months

i think the majority consensus is that it's a 14 though

It's not in any of the new arcade releases but if I were to just take a guess, this would likely be a 14.

Wowowowowowowwwwww
It's hard 14
I actually had beaten this song and scored triple a
