hahah Dang right dude!!! I used to go to cape hatteras and surf fish for those 2 times a year from 1986 to about 2000,,We caught some from the beach up to 50" long. Congrats buddy. They pull hard!
That’s a tough one. I think you can go a little bit faster in the Hobie, but it’s much harder to switch gears and go backwards. The hobie also turns much better. I’ll give a slight edge to the hobie setup.
So glad you got that experience. I absolutely love fishing for reds. Such a fight.
Definitely grateful. It was an awesome fish.
Great video! Never caught a red from the kayak before but boy does that look fun
Thanks, yeah, it was seriously a blast.
We need a family fishing movie with the Kaals!!
Agreed
I will be heading there in the fall with my fly rod.l hope I can catch some Reds like you caught very nice fish.
Excellent, that sounds like a great time!

Yeah, reds are awesome!
What lure were you using to catch the red and were you jerking it in or just reeling?
What did you think of the hobie kayak vs your kayak? Which pedal drive do you like more?
