I knew nothing of this until I was contacted to investigate a wrongful conviction in Grundy County Tennessee. What blew my mind was how few even knew this launched from their own back yard. I have only found a few whose relatives remember a woman coming around and then seeing Rosa Parks on TV, arguing how it couldn't possibly be the same person. While it is Septima Clark who should be known by all. As was said though, there was little shocking imagery so it all fell through the cracks.
Wonderful school! Still need thousands of schools with such a free spirit!
I'm amazed and embarrassed that I'm just discovering her legacy by happenstance.
