- Many graduate students want to go on to pursue a career in academia. While there are several paths to do this, this video talks about pursuing a tenure-track faculty position. The video describes the benefits and drawbacks of such a job as well as what is expected of you in that position. The video goes on to talk about things to think about when developing the application package. Typically, the application package consists of a cover letter, CV, teaching statement, research statement, and sometimes additional statements such as a leadership statement or diversity statement.

I suspect there are huge differences in the professor position around the world. That would be interesting to know. I really can only comment for the USA experience.
