I've watched this WONDERFUL clip probably 30 or more times; this is the pure essence of community theater. & expanding it from a quartet to a full chorus w a double kick line is EPIC.
This scene in the movie musical version is excellent... yet, this young cast from Children's Musical Theatre from San Jose captured the essence of the song. How about the reprise and the “rockets style” dancing by the young men… FANTASTIC! Bravo to the cast and directors.
When I was a child I saw the original movie with this song in it. (I'm now 63) It came into my mind this morning for some reason, and I thought what the heck, let's see what pops up. The performance of this was better than the original movie. I am very impressed. The guys really enjoyed performing. You can tell. Well done.
I have seen this wonderful show on Broadway And in the west end of London. But this is the version I keep coming back to... It's got HEART big time.. Thanks
This is as professional as anything I've seen on Broadway. No exaggeration. Wish I could see it more clearly. Any polish lacking in the dancing is perfect for the song and setting. Hope there is more of them on RUclips.

Had to find "You Gotta Have Heart" after KC engineered one 9th inning victory after another to take the World Series, and what do I come across but this AMAZING youth theater version. The reprise made me jump up and cheer! Heart!
@texasmom131 Well their window of opportunity is still open. They can get back to the Series this year. Yanks don't have the starting pitching to make a serious run. Plus the Yanks are in a bad spot with Jeter and Posada getting old and there is no way to get rid of them. After that their are the Rays but no other serious threat for the Rangers. And they can handle the Rays.
