- Season 6 episode 13.
One of my my favorite side-story of the show.
3 things elegants adults say all the time:
1-I'm starting to think smart phones are actually making us less connected.
2-Well, that's politics for you!
3-Sir, you cannot remove your shoes inside this Applebee's.
it's kinda cute that judah holds todd as a role model when it comes to quick plans
Todd is a sucessful businessman who was briefly governor of california afterall. Who WOULDNT look up to him?
I absolutely love their dynamic, I kinda wish we’d seen more of it but tbh it might have ruined them. The idea that the two of them hang out frequently enough for them to have established such a dynamic (“this is not the time for one of your famous Judah tantrums!” Is iconic lol)
@@doctorwholover1012 yeah it shows how perceptive todd is even tho judah didn't act conventionally angry or anything todd can just tell
Heck yeah it does
adhd+autism solidarity
“I’m alarmed. Do you not consider me a sophisticated adult or do you not consider me a friend?” Haha Judah it’s cute he was slightly concerned he wasn’t Todd’s friend.
"Judah this is no time for one of your famous Judah tantrums!" This is unironically my favorite joke in Bojack Horseman.
@@23kurtzy it's another 'classic Diane wackiness' situation. Todd is the best.
Lol
@@23kurtzy Judah replying with "Fair" makes it so much funnier
I love that Judah actually understands and values Todd’s way of scheming.
I don’t think he values it per se but supports him as a friend regardless of his antics. He knows him well...but I don’t think it’s an endorsement of that lol.
@Oakley Alvin thank you, Lance's second account
@@greentaigo2552 damn that bot is everywhere now.
@@Kobolds_in_a_trenchcoat Did you know that Oakley Alvin is actually an anagram of "Kill nova yea"?
Not useful information in any way but it sure is more interesting than the instaportal ad ;)
@@BradenBest should it be "yea kill nova?"
"Famous Judah tantrums" destroys me every time 😂
He did get out of hand there, did you see how heated he got?
Todd Chavez and Judah Mannowdog just get each other on a level that not even Todd and Bojack managed after a decade of living together.
same. A more flawless choice of words was NOT possible for that bit.. It just clicks inside you on every single level, from how it comes from Todd of all people, to Judah's characteristics we know and love. A fkn perfect joke overall.
Judah wanted all the smoke but Todd was like *chill*.
"Do you not consider me a sophisticated adult or a friend" I can tell Todd hurt Judah but Judah is able to focus on the task at hand to move foward.
0:02 cute the way Judah gives his finger to a toddler so he can hold it
god i love the little details in this show so much 😭😭
I didn’t even notice that but that so cute.
Little kid put both his hands up, Judah immediately gives him a finger to hold and the kid is content.
Judah makes an excellent father. What a great guy!
I didn't even notice
There also when the baby ladybug stop the other baby from trying to take his leaf.
judah is the biggest mvp in this series
Hold it right there! Im a PC simp.
but his song for princess caroline was so shitty, i was really dissapointed
@@eliaslee__ emotion doesn't seem to be his Forte. That's why it was cute though
@@eliaslee__ he did say he sucks a lot of times
Biggest MVP is kinda redundant.
You know, I'm starting to think smart phones are making us less connected.
Well, that's politics for you.
@@Buboltz Please don’t take off your shoes, this is an Applebee’s.
What are all of you sophisticated adults doing in a RUclips comment section?
What is this a crossover episode?!?!?
True dat
Anyone else notice how the kids crowd around judah? And how Judah just let's one of the little boys hang onto his hand!
the perfect man
I love him
He's gonna be such a good dad to Ruthie!
Kids like Judah.
"I like the elegant bearded man"
I love the fact that Judah was more concerned with the fact that Todd doesn't consider him a sophisticated friend
And then he threw one of his famous tantrums.
That’s politics for you!
I'm starting to think that smart phones are actually making us less connected.
@@SpedeVesku sir you cannot remove your shoes inside this Appelbees
It is!
It is!
'Please keep trying.' is an incredibly raw line
I took me a surprisingly long time to notice that Emily and her latest firefighter boyfriend made it to the party. It's just another small way which showed how far Todd's come across six seasons, it's beautiful to watch unfold, even after the first hundred times.
I love that Judah can be seen happily sipping a cocktail in the background of Todd's party after he expressed concern over whether Todd saw him as a friend, or whether he was sophisticated enough to impress his parents. He made the cut. Good for you, Judah.
Todd and Judah understand each other. How wholesome.
I'm sad we didn't get more Judah and Todd scenes together
Best part is Mr.P uses the phrase even though he wasnt told to
*”SIR, you cannot REMOVE your SHOES inside THIS APPLEBEES.”*
The heartbreaking thing about Todd's parents not showing up at the party is that it's the only reason he didn't let Bojack in, and Bojack desperately needed a friend at that moment. I don't think Todd was wrong for turning Bojack away, he's been hurt by him more than most, but it's so tragic.
Agreed
True, and there is Vance who is most likely to ruin the party. So it is harsh but fair for Bojack not join the party if Bojack is sticking with Vance.
I would love to see more of Todd interacting with Judah lmao
I would just love to see someone’s reaction to someone just randomly saying “Sir, you cannot remove your shoes inside this Applebee’s.”
I worked at an Applebee's. We weren't allowed to tell guest to put there shoes back on
Well, thats politics for you!
@@oz_jones I'm starting to think that smart phones are actually making us less connected
This is the best use of the word "tantrum" i ve ever seen
That’s politics for ya
God i love judah
we all do
Ngl I really loved Judah I wish he got his own episde dedicated to him
My heart grew three sizes seeing Judah let that little boy hold on to his finger 🥹
Mr. Peanutbutter’s punchline is a genuine punch in the gut. Ow.
Judah is so cute, he shows that a person can be neuro divergent and outwardly monotone, less affectionate, but still good intentioned and supportive, its actions that matter
"One of your famous Judah tantrums"
That's great.
Did mr. Peanutbutter notice BoJack and pretend not to acknowledge him? Or was did he really not want to talk to that girl lol
Pretty sure he just didn’t notice BoJack.
Plot twist: That's Erica😂
Maybe it was erica secret face reveal
@@ruhinashaikh8964 damnit! Her hair covers her ears so we can't see if she has the right amount.
It's not Erica. She has an eye that constantly looks up and is a burn victim
Judah is the best! his tantrums though...
45% friends is authentic ratio
It's such a PB thing to hear some quasi-intellectual phrase and then immediately start regurgitating it as if he came up with it
And that was the last time Todd and Mr.Peanutbutter were in the same scene
Reminds me of the Father Ted episode where they got Father Jack to keep saying ''That would be an ecumenical matter.''
Yes!
judah is so endearing
(1:14 - 1:18) fun facts the voice of Maude is RUclipsr/ artist Echo Gillette.
Fun fact 2: she's also asexual (jut like Maude) :D
@@Arsaja this fact is fun indeed!
1:50 Mr. Peanut butter had a great line
1:10 what happened to Bojack meeting todd!!
Pillbug child rolled away from the drama, lol
I love Judah.
Mr. Peanutbutter is a good boy. T_T

The woman on the couch was part of the improv team that Todd participated in, right?
They were killed before they could finish their sentence
The recycling of background characters has to be the one thing I don't like about this show. She was also one of the original cabra cadabra drivers and Todd didn't acknowledge her there either. Worse yet, an almost identical character (just with a different skin color) appears in the background while Bojack is in DC. I have watched the show 5 times
Seriously? I thought it was really that girl
Todd‘s improv friend from season 2 is there!
Does Judah have Aspergers
I'm confused - what Aspergers features does Judah have?
@@Arsaja taking everything literally for one
@caporal pistachio plus he has trouble reading tone and actually got Carolyn three dates
He doesn't have Aspergers, he's just an INTJ.
I get the reaction is realistic although it kind of bothers me how Maude isn’t quicker to defend Bojack after he set her up in their only previous interaction. I’m disappointed they didn’t become friends
I suppose, but at the same time, she doesn't really OWE him to defend his actions. You can be grateful for someone's good deed and still recognize that they're a toxic person you don't want to associate yourself with.
If I had to guess, she wanted to check with todd before letting bojack in just because she knew how important impressing Todd's mom was to him and bojack might end up derailing the party
I mean, all Bojack did from her perspective is to tell her that there was an asexual dating app.
@@WobblesandBean god I hate this argument. Nobody owes anyone anything. I’m still disappointed she didn’t show him more courtesy. That’s it. I wasn’t in the show shaming her. I said the reaction was realistic
@@kevinmccabe3984 Think of it this way. Todd has probably told her a lot about how Bojack treated him over the years. Maybe not even with an agenda, just as part of conversation getting to know each other. She seemed to be aware of his past given how she referenced his history of staying on people’s couches. She knows Bojack is a problematic friend to Todd, and like someone said, she figured she should step back and let Todd make that call. It’s a small thing, but it’s part of the reason why I love Maude. She was perfect for Todd in almost every way. She was supportive but also encouraging, ready to stand up for him without taking away his agency. They’re my favourite couple from this show.
At 1:29 Mr Peanutbutter tries to eat a prop apple lol
Lol, that are-incorporation at the end.

I hated Todd when he didn’t let Bojack in the party.
judah sounded like binging babish
Oh god I (lovingly) HATE this show! They always manage to somehow turn a joke into a FEEL
How do you feel about Aggretsuko?
@@Johnlindsey289 I love Aggretsuko, it’s amazing!
@@pennyjpie
Would you compare that to Bojack as much as Beastars to Zootopia?
That’s politics for you lol
ohhh that's ending scene hits 👀
Maude is a cutie! she's one of the finest rabbit ladies this side of Lola or Frank from Final Fantasy or Bunnie Rabbot from Sonic The Hedgehog SatAM.
Todd was lucky
Normal voice but a horse guy
🤙 Determinism is Freedom 🤙
Uh?
ok
I don't know why but when Todd doesn't let bojack in that always kinda pissed me off
You might like to see Bojack, but he is a bad friend (most of times), toxic and troublemaker. Todd needed a real friend in that situation, so I get it that he didn't want him there.
@@isabelaborges5189 But he was trying to and succeeding in becoming a better person. To be clear, that absolutely doesn’t mean Todd has to forgive him in any way, but he was shown to be recognizing that Bojack wasn't a complete jerk anymore since he started reaching out to Bojack again. He was completely fine with Bojack in the scenes they had together before and after this scene. It just felt out of character.
The only reason for him acting like this would be the second interview, but Todd already knew about all of that stuff and that Bojack wasn't going to do anything more (to be extra clear, not excusing his behavior, he changed but his impacts on people may remain).
If I were writing this scene, I wouldn't have Todd even see Bojack at the door. Instead, I'd have Maude be the one to turn Bojack away as she knows how much this means to Todd but doesn’t know much about Bojack aside from the rumors. Aside from not being too realistic and thus just not feeling right, Todd turning Bojack away doesn't sting as much as we already know Todd has some resentment towards him. But having Maude turn him down would show how the public doesn't trust him. Not necessarily hatred, but a deep fear and unease towards him.
@@isabelaborges5189 if he needed real friends why would he invite a bunch of random actors
@@mrmetang3642 ummm no one actually knew the depth of Bojack’s depravity in that situation with Sara Lynn. The thing is is that had Bojack actually called an ambulance the second he saw Sara Lynn like that she likely would have lived. And everyone, including Todd, knows that.
It’s tough to accept that the man you consider your friend is 100% responsible for the death of a person. Even more so when they weren’t honest about it to you.
@@mrmetang3642 Keza's kind of right. Bojack is improving, yes. but that doesn't repair multiple years of, well, being shit. Todd is still kind of Bojack's friend, but at the same time, Todd still realizes Bojack is borderline toxic.
At least credit the band damn
