Can't believe we are united and able to watch the long series until now..😆 Btw, we are now watching Ertugrul season 5 ( the correct pronunciation would be Er-tuu-rul with the silent g) and we don't mind to watch them again . But we prefer to continue with Kurulus Osman, the son of Ertugrul series . Such an entertaining and outnumbered good values you learnt while watching this. Yes, i agreed..no need for vulgarity, nudity whatsover to be potrayed... yet we still feel the power of love for the nation, their loved ones, instilling outer and inner strength and determination to be a better person. Such a wonderful series where women were honoured and not despised, but treated fairly in the world of men. I suggest you to watch this and finally you will know why these people were executed by beheading. So that you might not have a misunderstanding just for reacting the theme song alone. One of the best productions I've seen. Turkish series like this are watched all over the world. I watched it here in Australia as did nearly everyone i know. My brother in law Paul loved it. You should watch but word of warning, each episode is 2 hours long , great for binge watching
On Netflix - they cut it to 45 mins each episode so each season would have 90+ episodes. Season 5 has 88 episodes. Love all the characters and great acting! Learned some Turkish words just by watching the series.
Saw it over a year ago now, loved it. I'm a non muslin Aussie. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history, culture everything. Now I'm immersed in the other series in this drama, they're all great. 👍

JIMBS: hand chop was a result of disrespect to woman by an invader who not only tried to assault her (sexually) and disrespectfully... and the ertugrul if you ever watch the whole series, you will see was a brave man, even under certain dead situation when outnumbered, didnt allow this kind of situations, to protect his and his tribe's honor. even though it is war story, it is not, it is about how one's honor and ethical perfection seeking. the show also show (reflect even today's values) religion has no effect when ones are seeking power and wealth only use it as a tool and not as a peace for soul. the whole tribe is trying to survive between western and eastern pressures. they dont wanna fight, but forced into it by constantly being under attach and finally seeking to gather all tribes to set up a strong nation to stop all these wars... eventually resulting more wars as attacks never ends and they are forced to expand to stop those attacks.... moral of the story is just trying to show righteousness under stress and impossible situations even against your own blood (esp your own blood, because if you follow justice correctly without discrimination even it is your own blood, then you can set out to be a great ruler) he does right by when everyone even his own family sometimes against it, he doesnt back down from justice. thats why following ottoman empire became successful.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but the original cinematic music has been dubbed over with Arabic lyrics, where there is no lyrics in the original Turkish show. And I love the out of context beheadings possum. Those beheadings, which were a part of business regardless of race, religion or creed during those times, where after continuous forgiveness and continuous insistence on corruption and the spilling of the blood of the innocent. The Ottoman Empire didn't expand by the sword. The Empire expanded because Muslims, Christians and Jews, who were always under opression supported the Ottomans and welcomed them with open arms due to their fairness, equity, mercy, forgiveness and humanity. That's why it's the only empire that lasted so long, because it gave freedom and autonomy to all regions, and people and allowed everyone to practice whatever they wished so long as there was no force, corruption, inequity and injustice. Where the rest of the world was drowning in slavery, the Ottomans ended slavery and made capital punishment law if you did slave trade. Those that were bad, bad people were commonly forgiven and forgiven and forgiven and eventually heads would roll. JIMBS: hand chop was a result of disrespect to woman by an invader who not only tried to assault her (sexually) and disrespectfully... and the ertugrul if you ever watch the whole series, you will see was a brave man, even under certain dead situation when outnumbered, didnt allow this kind of situations, to protect his and his tribe's honor. even though it is war story, it is not, it is about how one's honor and ethical perfection seeking. the show also show (reflect even today's values) religion has no effect when ones are seeking power and wealth only use it as a tool and not as a peace for soul. the whole tribe is trying to survive between western and eastern pressures. they dont wanna fight, but forced into it by constantly being under attach and finally seeking to gather all tribes to set up a strong nation to stop all these wars... eventually resulting more wars as attacks never ends and they are forced to expand to stop those attacks.... moral of the story is just trying to show righteousness under stress and impossible situations even against your own blood (esp your own blood, because if you follow justice correctly without discrimination even it is your own blood, then you can set out to be a great ruler) he does right by when everyone even his own family sometimes against it, he doesnt back down from justice. thats why following ottoman empire became successful.
