- As promised here is the last in my little series on the Brand New Katana Amp Gen 3. This little clean riff was basically the first thing I played when I created my first tone on the amp so I turned it into a little ditty which I hope you'll enjoy.
Both parts are played in 1 take so are a little rough and ready and I actually hit the 'wrong' tone for the lead parts but decided to upload anyway in the spirit of keeping thing real and raw, as I discussed in my recent video here... • A minor Sweep Practice...
Plus I was just experimenting with my Camera and wanted to test the idea of making it look like I'm playing with my twin... 😂

Your playing inspired my decision to grab a kat gen 3.. already have mki and mkii.. the Gen 3 definitely is a substantial upgrade.. more open top end and fuller sounding low mids..

Very nice Alex! You know I love "real" performances, even if it's with a twin! ;-) I don't think I've ever heard you discuss what DAW you are using, or video editor. Surely you aren't doing all this yourself, are you? Anyway, that amp is amazing for the money. Would you use this at a lounge gig?
Dear sir, well yes indeed I do everything myself. I'd love to just play but over the years I had to buy all the the video cameras and editing software and learn vaguely how to use it...😂 Of course I'm not the only one, I'd say the majority of people have to do this now, which is tough and can take a lot of time. Some of the big guys that I know have video editors that do all of this for them but for us smaller dudes, we have to do every part of what you see.
I would use it on a lounge gig for sure, it sounds great especially the new pushed amp type.
Oh and I use Logic Pro x Final Cut pro..... Again my skill is pretty limited on these platforms but I do my best with the time I have... I just love music and being creative so it's more a labour of love than anything...❤️ 👍🎸🙏

I suppose it shouldn't be a huge surprise, given your dedication to the craft and commitment to lifelong learning. I know I speak for a sea of fans when I say "thank you" sincerely for the joy you bring to the world. Your "little dude" humility is beyond admirable.
And thanks for providing the details on what tools you use, software and otherwise. I could definitely see myself carrying that amp into a small venue!
One last thought: sure, it sounds nice to have a production team, but there is a distinct advantage to being your own producer/engineer/editor/etc. You don't have to take orders! Your production sensibilities are excellent. I've never watched a video of yours, long or short, where I lost interest. Again, I'm really glad you've dedicated your life to sharing your joy of music.

these amps feel and sound amazing. To not use them as a usefull tool for giging for small venues in 2024 is a mistake. ofc you can get your valve combo, but you get way more with this. and it is lighter too.
