Just finished the Pride & Purls Cardigan in KFO Dusty Violet!! Gorgeous! Making the Cercis Pattern to use up the remaining yarn.
Your words about taking yourself less seriously really hit home for me. I have a tendency to get really strict with myself and then feel like I've failed if I can't meet the standards I've set for myself. It's helpful to have the reminder that joy is all part of this process and having a slightly larger stash than you think is ideal is just fine.
I’m so glad that sentiment resonated with you too!
I too keep track of units in/out. Because of the yardage differences I count 400 yards as a ‘unit’ regardless of weight. So a sweater that uses 1200 yds is three units regardless of weight. Made it simpler for me! 😊
The silk top is fabulous!!! The half wool half hemp yarn is gorgeous as well. 😊 great job, thanks for sharing ❤❤
Thank you!
Emily, as always I love how you share about your knits, but super appreciate your candid nature in chatting about your job search. I'm jazzed for you and am excited to see how it all turns out. You're top shelf!!!!
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for sharing everything that you share. That is a great top and that purple looks really good on you. By the way I think it brightens your face up.
Thank you for sharing the information regarding the increases, it is enough to make me buy the pattern to see exactly how they are achieved. Increases can make or break the clean look of the pattern for me.
Right!? Some of those details are SO important!
Good luck with your job hunt! A change is always nice
Girl, you’re killing it 🙌🏻
Though it's an 18-stitch gauge (may or may not work with the new yarn) I am OBSESSED with every navy version of the Lakes Pullover by Ozetta that I've seen. Working on my own version :) she is about to come out with a v-neck version as well!
What about the Calm Down sweater from Lily Kate France? She has a lot of good sweaters you could look into.
I love your comment about navy blue. My school uniform was brown and gold. That was a very very long time ago and I still do not wear those colours. LOL. Hope to see you at Knit City! Rosie
Please say hello if/when you spot me! I’ll be there on Saturday 😄
I love Florence’s twisted rib top. Can’t wait for that to be out 😊
It’s coming together so well!
That brick color is going to look great on you! The lavender to
Thank you so much!
I see a few others have recommended patterns by the knit purl girl! I love them! I have knitted a semper sweater twice and am currently working on a Marlow! I enjoy your podcasts and wish you well in your courses and job hunt!
Thank you!!
I love navy blue, it is my favourite neutral. Enjoy your classes.
Thank you!!
I love marine blue! I plan to knit the Cove Sweater by The Knit Purl Girl in navy blue, I think this pattern would look gorgeous in this shade.
Ou that’s a lovely option!
Personally I would use the navy yarn for a cabled sweater, but since you're looking for stockinette my recommendation would be the Lenon sweater by Caidree!
Thank you!!
Excited for Knit City
Yes!!!! One of my upcoming videos will be planning for knit city 😄
Have you looked at the Citrine Sweater? It's not all stockingette but given your love of architectual details you may really like the shoulder texture!
Ah yes I have seen that pattern! Thank you for reminding me of that option!
An idea for your navy yarn….I am currently knitting the Semper Sweater in plain navy blue, nice easy stockinette sweater.
Ah yes! For some reason I hadn’t considered any raglans, but I should look!
@@highfiberknits it's a lovely sweater, neat and smart :)
I really enjoy your videos 😊. I just knit the Mellow Mood Sweater by Julia Piro in a very similar navy blue and I love how it looks. It is a raglan with some detailing in the raglan and down both sides. I knit it as a short sleeve top, but may extend the sleeves in the fall. If you want to see it in navy blue, I am Kdzachar on Ravelry.
That’s a beautiful option!
❤
How about posting a black and white photo on instagram xx
Why do you pull your knitwear so much?
I think you’re referring to the video clips? Usually I try to film try-on clips for about a minute or so. The clips are useful to show fit on RUclips and Instagram, but for Instagram reels I’ll often need to do a lot of cuts to the footage. Sometimes using a gentle adjustment of the hem helps me to keep moving and feel a bit more natural in front of the camera, and it helps to kind of punctuate a shorter clip section, and it can show the elasticity of the fabric!
