Same, there's not enough reviews of Natasha Denona and PMG with tan skin, and I'm always excited to see what these palettes look like on her, especially with Alicia's eye for eyeshadow placement.
No matter how many times I hear it your “get in closer”, “that’s enough” bit always makes me smile. :) thanks for doing this review. It was super helpful!
Alicia, can we have a Natasha Denona The Ultimate Guide (Part 2)? I would love to see your updated breakdown of her library of palettes and how her brand has evolved. I could listen to you talk about colors and textures for hours. Nobody goes into as much depth as you do!
I think it’s awesome she made it more wearable BUT I think it would have been cool for her to release a shimmer teal eyeliner with it or something to call back to the teals
My heart sank when the highlighter shades fell out of the compact. 😰I'm one of those few peeps who also adores the Bronze palette 🙋♀ - it's still one of my favorites. 🥰 Thank you for comparing the two palettes!
You have been the only beauty person I've really been able to keep up with and enjoy since Mel Thompson passed away. Thank you for being so honest and genuine, Alicia! 💜💜
The same thing happened to Angela Bright! Her highlighter fell out too. She glued hers back in but doesn’t look good for Natasha to have two of my favorite RUclipsrs with defective palettes.
I love brown. I love gold. I don't have the "original" Gold palette, coz I've only just started getting into makeup I'm not someone who can use more than 2 shades at a time 😆 Aaannnddd that's why, this palette is *perfect* for me!!! 🎉 I love one-and-done looks, and a shade like Varis is my literal go to!! The rest I'm gonna just do 1 matte + 1 of those sparkly ones! Now, comparing say my Chantecaille luminescent shades at $58 for a single shadow....to getting a ND 15-pan palette at $58.65 (using your 15% off discount coupon!)...I mean, its not even a question! Thank you so much, Alicia. Love your videos! You are a GOD, especially when it comes to eyeshadows! ❤
Alicia! Those warm gold tones on you! SO SO gorgeous!! It can be hard to identify people's natural undertones when looking at videos. But I think these makeup shades must compliment your undertones, because you look magnificent. I think you could put a gown on and walk a red carpet with these shades on your eyes and cheeks. Gorgeous. 🦋🧡🦋
Yours is the second video I saw today with the pans of the highlighter falling out. I got mine in the mail today and the pan is falling out of the middle shade as well. Yes it can be glued back in but for $55 it seems like they had a quality issue with the glue.
I’ve loved the original Gold for many years. It had something that made it extra special. The gritty, textured shimmer shades are like nothing else she’s released. I was really hoping that same special quality would be in Golden, but I didn’t think it had the same textures with the shimmers. Oro was the most obviously different shade and texture out of the “repeat” shades. I love the wet effects, but they’re definitely smoother, more creamy, ethereal sparkles, not the chunky, texture kind of sparkle we got in Gold. Both are beautiful, and I’m still glad to have Golden, but it definitely isn’t a copy-paste of Gold.
Beautiful review of this new beauty. Natasha Denona knows what we want. I agree with you Alicia about the Bronze palette, it is my favorite one too. Superb job on reviewing this new awesomeness 🫶🏼😁💖
Lovely video, thank you so much! Nobody beats your swatches. I have the OG gold from her one last random restock from last year, so I’ll be passing. But for folks that could only have Golden, I feel like a mashup between it and Yucca could bring the teals it’s missing! It doesn’t have the teal shimmer, but it serves the mustard and teal mattes for sure.
As a brown person with olive undertone, and I just saw the palette swatched on your skin that is similar to mine , the first thought was : ( its the everyday "darker & neutral" version of [ i need a nude ] palette) !!! Its giving me too faced chocolate palette too ,very milky & sandy to my eyes !!! Every ND palette is the one for me , until the next one drops & that is the one for me until i ended up with ZERO ND palettes 😂😂😂😂 I didn't buy any palette, the more i look at her collection all i see is almost MONOCHROMATIC color stories!!! To me right now : GLAM is the one & this golden one is speaking to me in a chocolatey brown nude tone 😂😂😂 I have to say : Sigma cool neutrals is taking my breath away since it launched & thats so perfect for me in term of THE ONE palette ( bronze, mauve , mustard & taupe ) = cool, warm & neutral pink !! Although i kinda need & want olive/khaki toned beiges & greens but i can totally find one palette Thank you for sharing the comparison between the two versions ❤❤❤
Aria (edit: Aura lol) is such a natural contour on your eyes! Like it was made for you 🥰 P.S. those two highlight shades falling out omg. So lucky they didn't need repressing! The embossing is so pretty I would have cried if it disappeared like that 😭
I don't think you can get to many looks from this palette. It lacks depth. I prefer the original its more versatile. I think on darker skin the variations of browns will either disapear or look similar to each other which doesnt justify the cost. ND lately keeps doing this monochrome thing which turns me off, with the exception of "My dream palette" I like the highlighter palette.
To me she looks like UD Naked honey… which I love, but still quite underwhelming compared to the opulence of the former larger pans and color story imo
It was leaked by the brand because they put it on the site for sale before the reveal and the release date . So this time it was them . Not that it matters lol . I just not here for this to much gold for me like the matts but I'm just not a gold girl it's to much for me being golden skin tone golden hair and gold in my eyes I'm just here to support. Ahhhh now that ur swatching and doing the look I might want it 😂 it is pretty.
It’s a stunning palette for sure! I already have the Gold though so probably don’t need it…. Btw I literally gasped when the highlighters fell out of the palette!
Hi Alicia, I love the look of this palette ,if people want a mustard shade they can look towards the yucca palette, also the first shade ,top row (Whiteish shades) in the golden palette, sounds like “milk” in Croatian , and wasn’t Natasha Denona born in Croatia, I love both of your looks. Love Katherine xoxo
I’m sorry, but no. It’s a no for me. That palette is FULL of the same shades/repeats. That palette has all the same tone, except for one dark brown, which we can find in almost every palette we own. All the golden shimmers are practically the same. All the nude shades are practically the same. This is a palette full of the same shades, with just the tiniest difference, so Natasha didn’t have to use many different pigments, but still create a midi palette, to jack up the price. This palette is a rip-off as far as I’m concerned. I don’t think Natasha is in her “monochromatic phase”….she’s just jumping on the price gouging train, as every other company, and finding ways to do less, give us less, but still charge a fortune.
When the original gold came out, those tones of browns were distinct from other neutrals in her collection. I would argue that even Biba didn’t have those sandy browns. Bronze leans more terracotta, and the browns in Glam and INAN are more neutral. Also, many people wanted her to bring Gold back because it was discontinued. So yeah, they’re going to be the same as her original because it’s a re-release. And I don’t know if you’ve noticed the financial climate, but prices are increasing everywhere. Therefore, you’re absolutely entitled to your opinion, and what’s even better is that you don’t have to buy this palette 🤷🏽♀️ Just as someone else who feels the same way.
You never know maybe Natasha Denona will come out with a mini golden palette that has you know that beautiful rainwater metallic teal in it. That’s like the only teal that I care about.😂❤
Alicia, your reviews are always top notch. Thank you so much for doing all this work for us. I really wanted a gold based palette that was also neutral as opposed to orange leaning, and it looks like ND delivered. I ordered this one. The colors that are missing from the old Gold palette (the mustard and the greenish golds) can be found in the Yucca palette, and I don't really use teals. This one was a slam dunk for me.
I never got the gold palette😢😢 I still regret not picking it up. This one is just not speaking to me, I still want the original those colors that are not included I can' t get passed it. The palette is pretty but not enough for me to pick it up.
Another fantastic video Alicia. Your detailed descriptions, comparisons and looks are unmatched. Im always smiling while watching your videos coz i love your enthusiasm and energy. I think my skin tone is similar to youra when you're not tanned so i always look forward to you trying new shades and experimenting looks. I might give this one a miss though, that is until i see it in person. Then im in trouble 😂
I think this palette is beautiful. It is a little softer without going grey/cool & is good for those of us who don't have the strength of coloring to handle Bronze or the OG Gold. Many of ND's palettes are just too bold/warm in color or too dusty for me. I like true warm neutrals like camel, tan, brown bronze & caramel. On you, it looks very, very natural so I could understand if it doesn't have enough OOOOOMPH for anyone deeper than Fair/Light or Light/Med. As it is, a couple of those golds are a little out of my comfort zone for everyday but I love the mattes & the softer slightly leaning peachy gold shimmers. Reminds me of the SG shimmer that came in your bundle. I use that shade everyday :D This palette is like an extended version of the Viseart Petite Praline Quad which I also use pretty regularly.
Loved your swatches and demos, Alicia! My palette arrived this afternoon, so I haven’t used it yet. Your video gave me some good ideas on eye looks. Thanks for yet another awesome video!!😊 Susan
Monochromatic works for me. I just get overwhelmed when there are too many colors. Monochromatic let me use 2-3 shadows that look great and not too crazy. I’m 60, so bright and crazy just makes me look like I did my makeup in the dark. Also, I order from Toronto. I get my ND orders within a week wrapped to the tens. Never had anything show up broken.
I have Gold but got Golden so I have one that is a bit more travel friendly. With my Sephora rewards, only cost me $29. So, win/win!. You look exquisite, per usual. Thank you for the looks!
I love your Natasha Denona videos! I am fair skinned blonde blue eyed girlie. I have been watching reviews with this pallette and have fallen in love with it. However, I am hesitant to purchase. Do you think it will work with my coloring? Thanks!
Great review as always! As a collector of ND pallets, I'm extremely disappointed in this midi gold and all the repeat shades, it makes it very hard to justify buying it 😏
💜💜💜 Do you think she divided the gold with the Yucca and the Golden ? 🤷🏻♀️ or do you think she will release the teals in a mini or another midi ? Maybe if we combine them we can recreate close to Gold? ✨✨✨
For me I think that Natasha not taking advantage of bringing back such hype shades like the green gold multichromes means it has lost its "pizzazz" compared to the original. I think I can get a gold eyeshadow and create this look in soooo many other palettes but it was the overlay of duochromes that I was looking most forward to. Now I'm like "beautiful palette but meh" 😢
I still think the same as when I first saw photos of this release - the midi palette is pretty much I Need A Nude for tanner skin tones, which is great for Natasha to offer 😅 It makes sense for her to go monochromatic with this because we already got the mustards and teals in Yucca. Business-wise, the new Gold could potentially invite a larger market looking for neutrals, and not necessarily make up enthusiasts who may already have the teals/mustards in other palettes. And then there are the very few who are collectors who may still get this for the sake of having the complete ND collection 🤷🏽♀️
I'm super late BUT wanted to brush on the teals and greens found in the original as to being "the otherside of gold" which is so silly because gold does not patina like copper and bronze do and would never pull those colors. I've mentioned this before, but the original Gold should have 100% been called the Bronze palette for that reason and where it has the full spectrum of bronze patinas within it. So while this new Golden palette is more accurate to the metal itself, it is far less special and extraordinary in comparison to the original Gold palette in my opinion. Also editing to say that ironically the thing i want the most out of this collection is the gloss, because I love a good plumping gloss and this one looks divine and I love the chunky thick clear packaging for a gloss too ughh it's hitting all the right buttons lmao
Thank you for this. I am looking forward to all the ways we can play with the Golden palette. I am going to wait a bit for lip and cheek combinations but I’m going to get the golden shadows.
This is very pretty and love the looks you made, but they're really not that different, which I'm disappointed in. I passed on the original Gold b/c it was just too much product for the price but if she was going to take out of the interesting shades I somewhat feel like I missed out. I would've honestly paid for just a midi-Gold palette, so I may wait until this goes on significant discount.
You’re right that these two looks appear the same, but I would like to hop back in for my 6 look video. I’m thinking Varis + Log for the smokey bronze moment, aura just on the lid + log as a liner, pana + fizzy for a lighter beige lid, Oro will always appear distinctly yellow gold compared to the other shades, teak or sand stone all over the lid, with either nubia or cava.
@@aliciaarcher Appreciate you responding! I agree that you will still get some variation, but while I don't mind monocrhome palettes I do think leaving out the teals diminishes the "wow" factor of this collection. You mentioned Bronze as one of your favorites, and I think part of what makes that palette so special is the eggplant and rust color shades. Sure, there's some similarities in colors but I do feel like it gives you some fun variety. I wish I could say the same for this palette and even INAN.
@@ivyscripting7240 I was thinking about the eggplant in Bronze, and I feel those shades are more neutral friendly than teal. And although teal is a lovely color, and definitely makes the gold story unique-the majority doesn’t roll with the teals. For me, the wow factor exists in the twinkle and dazzling effects of the Sparkling Foiled and Wet Effect formulas. If I want teal, then I’ll hop into Metropolis, or Zendo. Golden I think is the medium-medium tan’s INAN 🤣 and from an aesthetic point of view, I can understand why Natasha would go all gold to correspond with the packaging. I think the teals would’ve thrown off the visual. I’m not saying that’s right, but a possible reason why she went monochromatic.
Always a pleasure to watch and really appreciate your honest and very thorough reviews/takes on products. The two looks your created are just gorgeous 💖
I don't know, I think it might be a possibility there might be a 5 pan mini that may have the teals or something similar...🤔 This is comparable to the Xenon palette, a lot of people were looking for the black shade and the option was in the mini not the midi.
I was tempted but I have two of the old gold palettes (one is relatively new), so it is not worth buying for me. I want to depot them and put them in a more accessible palette. I would love to combine some of the colors in the green/brown palette with the OG gold palette.
This is probably the 4th time I’ve watched this video. I love your reviews and your complexion is a close match to mine so I rely heavily on your reviews and looks. I have the original and pulled it out this week to use it more but I’m still drawn to the palette because of the new shimmer shades
The best thing of the gold palette were the teals and the golden green shimmers, those are the most stunning gold shades ever and gave the palette different shades of gold.. I'm surprised she decided to exclude them..
If you want the original Gold colour story there is Alter Ego Goddess which is supposed to be an excellent dupe with all the teals and lime chromes. While this Golden palette would be a good addition to the ND range giving multiple options for neutral lovers along side Glam and INAN , the monochromatic palette is an easy pass for me.
It's okay. I just want to be blown away. I'm sure people will love this. I want the original Gold Palette is the midi size. Or maybe I just want the Isamaya industrial 2 palette....I want things I can't have.
I hope Natasha was watching your video cause when those highlighters fell out 😳 that should NOT have happened. I have dropped many a palette and never had that happen. But the looks were GORGEOUS as usual❣️
Personally, the concept of the Gold palette reminds me of Greece: the sea and the sand; the jewels and the colors of the ornaments. For me, it has always been a summer palette. I've bought the Golden one because I'll be using the original very few times now, as it's irreplaceable (It's one of my most prized possessions :D) Thanks for the review! And yes, I also see more warmth in the Golden Oo
I love your review as always Alicia!, I have the OG Gold palette and is one of my favorites from ND, the teal shades make perfect sense for me, I was born in Peru, and since I have memory I saw many gold artifacts from pre-Columbus cultures including "the Incas", with that teal rust in them, or worked with teal gems or materials like aquamarine, I saw that greenish gold in many artifacts and when I was a kid, my parents had one beautiful paint in a black velvet canvas of a "Tumi" with those gold and teal shades, I used to loved it and for that reason I had a hard time to let my OG gold palette out of my hands. I'm really sorry that in this new version those shades were left behind.
I appreciate you sharing this memory, because intuitively I knew that teal and gold exist naturally in the metal world somewhere. Because seeing the teals with the golds is so pleasing to the eye 😮💨
I could be that consumer to press buy in the first second if this palette was a midi Gold. But without the gold with green reflex and those teals... uh... it's taught, I don't like it that much to buy it. I have a solution... I'll ask as present the Golden and the Yucca palette, will replicate the Gold and give away all the meh shades 😅
It’s funny watching these comparisons because I watched Morgan Turner basically show the old palette as better than the new. You make it sound like the new is better. So palette is so underwhelming and I guess no way to know which is better
I think I was pretty neutral with the delivery. Because not everyone has the original Gold palette. And if they don’t, then they can get this one. Because with or without the teals, it’s gorgeous. I predict that Natasha is saving the teals for a holiday release, but that’s just speculation.
It’s nice seeing some review this with tan skin. You’re so thorough and honest with your reviews. You should be on her PR list.
Agreed!
Yes!❤
I think it’s awesome she made it more wearable BUT I think it would have been cool for her to release a shimmer teal eyeliner with it or something to call back to the teals
That’s the only reason I have FOMO for the original
My heart sank when the highlighter shades fell out of the compact. 😰I'm one of those few peeps who also adores the Bronze palette 🙋♀ - it's still one of my favorites. 🥰 Thank you for comparing the two palettes!
I watched another creator and hers did the same thing.
Yep same here I love that Bronze and glow palette!!
The bronze palette is one of my favorite ND palettes too!
I yelled no girl no! When they fell 😢 thank you for your thorough reviews! 💕💜
I love the Bronze palette too! ❤ It gets alot of play for summer and I pulled it out after Alicia's sneak peak video on the Golden palette. 😉
You have been the only beauty person I've really been able to keep up with and enjoy since Mel Thompson passed away. Thank you for being so honest and genuine, Alicia! 💜💜
RIP Mel… We MISS You Girl‼️‼️❌⭕️🙌🙏🙌🙏
❤️❤️❤️❤️💃🤗❤️
The same thing happened to Angela Bright! Her highlighter fell out too. She glued hers back in but doesn’t look good for Natasha to have two of my favorite RUclipsrs with defective palettes.
Not Fit for Print Beauty, Rebecca, one of her highlights fell out too.
I love brown.
I love gold.
I don't have the "original" Gold palette, coz I've only just started getting into makeup
I'm not someone who can use more than 2 shades at a time 😆
Aaannnddd that's why, this palette is *perfect* for me!!! 🎉

18 secs in, couldn't have clicked faster! 😅
Whew! I appreciate you, friend!
im sorry i was crying when the highlighters just fell out 😭😂😂
You and me both 🫠😭
My heart cries a little when that happens! 😮😭
My hand flew to my mouth in shock like OMG!
That happened on two other videos I saw.
Alicia, you never disappoint with your swatches and comparisons. Your beauty videos are the only ones I watch now. Thanks
Hey fellow Brown girl with olive 🫶🏽
Aria (edit: Aura lol) is such a natural contour on your eyes! Like it was made for you 🥰
P.S. those two highlight shades falling out omg. So lucky they didn't need repressing! The embossing is so pretty I would have cried if it disappeared like that 😭
Needed this video ! Couldnt wait to see this pallette on your skintone
Thank you for being here!
This eyeshadow palette makes me remind the Urban Decay Naked Honey. I need this ND Golden Palette.
I don't think you can get to many looks from this palette. It lacks depth. I prefer the original its more versatile. I think on darker skin the variations of browns will either disapear or look similar to each other which doesnt justify the cost. I have to pull out my Gold. Bec I have the Gold and Bronze, I'm content!

Great review, as always. I will wait until the fall sales to get it. I am bummed that it doesn't include Lime Chrome.

Yay. My queen of shade comparisons. Was waiting on your review before i made my decision. I was sad to lose Dijon and the matte teal.
Loved your swatches and demos, Alicia! My palette arrived this afternoon, so I haven’t used it yet. Your video gave me some good ideas on eye looks. Thanks for yet another awesome video!!😊

I’m happy this isn’t as yellow-gold as I thought it would be. I like my matte browns yellow leaning but not my sparkle. ❤

I still think the same as when I first saw photos of this release - the midi palette is pretty much I Need A Nude for tanner skin tones, which is great for Natasha to offer 😅
It makes sense for her to go monochromatic with this because we already got the mustards and teals in Yucca.
What lipstick are you wearing?
Thank you for this. I am looking forward to all the ways we can play with the Golden palette. I am going to wait a bit for lip and cheek combinations but I’m going to get the golden shadows.
I had been waiting years for a midi Star, but caved and got the OG at 50% discount. Midi is the best size for sure!!
I ordered mine and used my point to get 42 dollars off, I only paid 65 dollars Canadian, which is 38 american
I think the sparkling formula debuted in the first face & eye palettes that came out. I think they are called the glam face palettes??
Always a pleasure to watch and really appreciate your honest and very thorough reviews/takes on products. The two looks your created are just gorgeous 💖
I don't know, I think it might be a possibility there might be a 5 pan mini that may have the teals or something similar...🤔
This is comparable to the Xenon palette, a lot of people were looking for the black shade and the option was in the mini not the midi.
I was tempted but I have two of the old gold palettes (one is relatively new), so it is not worth buying for me. I want to depot them and put them in a more accessible palette. I would love to combine some of the colors in the green/brown palette with the OG gold palette.
To me, it looks like the original mattes are a bit more neutral, w/a touch of a green tinge to it...Perhaps b/c of the teal shades🤔?
The video did help to understand the formula and I’m wearing the shadows today 😊. I love it and I don’t have the original pallet.
Damn it I knew I shouldn’t have watched this! I haven’t even seen the demo and I’m already convinced…
This is probably the 4th time I’ve watched this video. I love your reviews and your complexion is a close match to mine so I rely heavily on your reviews and looks. I have the original and pulled it out this week to use it more but I’m still drawn to the palette because of the new shimmer shades
This sort of reminds me of UD Honey palette.
The best thing of the gold palette were the teals and the golden green shimmers, those are the most stunning gold shades ever and gave the palette different shades of gold.. I'm surprised she decided to exclude them..
Imagine that gloss with a cap like the Kaleidos glosses 🤔🤔🤔
I was sad about the lack of mustard, but maybe we're to scratch that itch with Yucca now..
As always, great review!
I need something like this but from Pat 🙏
Ps You are gorgeous and I enjoy your method of doing eyeshadow looks!
You are so beautiful and this looks amazing on you! ❤
Bronze is also my fav. I have the original gold too… but I still want to get it 😂
So beautiful! Wow! You are a genius!
I originally did not want it, because who needs another gold?! But it looks so nice in your skin, i will wait until a sale to see if i still want it.
Can you compare it to the yucca? Bronze?
I’m still mad I missed out on the original gold palette 😢
Yayyyyy!!! 👏👏👏
I have a sneaky feeling, she'll release the teals as a 5 pan palette for the holidays!
I'd like to switch some shades from the bronze palette with that one
Omg YASSSS !! What a great idea friend !!! 🙌💃🏻😍 bronze is one of my all time faves ❤
Ayeee das me 🥰
Glad you were able to get it!!! Mine came in today!!
I gasped when those highlighters dropped out of the pan...oh... my... gosh...I hope that you'll put in a complaint to Sephora, Alicia.
It happened so fast that I was in disbelief 🙃
Do you even have makeup on?????
Hey gurl hey
It's okay. I just want to be blown away. I'm sure people will love this. I want the original Gold Palette is the midi size. Or maybe I just want the Isamaya industrial 2 palette....I want things I can't have.
3.0 might just kill us, and I’m ready 😎
i also love the bronze palette!
I hope Natasha was watching your video cause when those highlighters fell out 😳 that should NOT have happened. I have dropped many a palette and never had that happen.
But the looks were GORGEOUS as usual❣️
Maybe it got to the PR team! 🫠🤣
What a lovely description! I agree, how gold and teal beautiful harmonize in nature 😮💨
Do you think the new gold pallet complements the bronze pallet?
100%-Golden is more sandy brown while bronze more terracotta. And you can pair the golds with the coppers easily!
I am so glad I watched this - I don’t think I’ll pick it up (at least not yet). The trio? Maybe! Thanks Alicia ❤
Thank you, Kylie 🙆🏽♀️✨
Beautiful look!
8 min in I’m here. Will watch now lol
Hahaha! Sounds like a a plan to me! 🤣✨
I love your reviews and with your voice it sounds like you’re the lady whistledown of Natasha denona palettes 😂
I wish she would have replaced the teal with duocheomes or deep brown sparkle shades, but I'm still gonna buy it 😂
That would’ve been a nice swap!
