    Some cracking finds there Tinners, was nice to bump into you on the RCM fields. Picked up a nice Roman trumpet brooch near the pylon you recommended detecting near. 👍

    inside of a saxon penny - my only saxon was an aethelred crux and i had the inside of that and also managed to find a bit of the outer too...

    Hi mate.did you find out what the small saxon penny with the short cross on the reverse was.i found one exactly the same, n can't find any reference to it in any of my books. Thanks

      Thanks for this very helpful information about your find, which I have recorded as EMC 2023.0282. It is possible to see from the style of the king's portrait that this is Aethelred II Last Small Cross type.

    It`s a portuguese India Dom Luís l 1861-1889. It was minted in Calcuta.
