      Most of these fighters are NOT thinking of the things Dan Hardy credits them for. Most fighters just fight without a setup plan(s) and even fewer actually exploit discovered weaknesses. This is mostly bullshit. They just wing it most of the time and these fight analyzers make more out of these tapes than are really there.

    Something worth mentioning is that Adesanya weighs 195 lbs in fight shape and said that he’s not putting on any weight for this fight. So chances are, he’ll probably weigh in at around 200 lbs and weigh the same amount in the cage.
    Whereas Jan Blachowicz has the build of a heavyweight and easily weighs over 220 lbs in the cage. So there’s most likely going to be a 20 lb size disparity between them when they fight.
    There’s levels to this game but weight classes also exist for a reason. This fight is gonna be super interesting.

    • @liquorboots
      @liquorboots 3 года назад +15

      fun fact:
      yoel romero is a natural 220-230 pounder
      paulo costa is a natural 230-240 pounder
      izzy is a natural cruiserweight( look it up )which means he walks around at 198 - 205+ pounds
      jan got beat by a guy who actually started out as a welterweight-middleweight before jumping into lhw i believe his name was thiago santos
      thiago santos was a standby substitute for brad tavares when he fought against izzy back in 2018
      yes there are levels and nuances to everything
      physicality striking volume landing strength isn’t everything and skill finesse footwork positioning angulation ring craft spatial awareness and brainpower wins fights too

    • @najib9093
      @najib9093 3 года назад +7

      @@liquorboots Those are their walk around weights but in the cage they’re about 210 lbs. Jan Blachowicz is defo near the 225 mark in the cage when you consider that Jones was 223 in the octagon against Gus.
      The weight class someone moved up from is often irrelevant because even Rumble was a welterweight. All you can look at is what they weigh on fight night because Thiago Santos was a completely standard sized LHW when he fought Jan.
      Everything else I agree on. Izzy has to be perfect for whole fight to not get ran over, and he can.

    You're breakdowns are world class! I think Izzy is going to be too fast for Jan and have a higher fight IQ. Izzy's ability to land solid and accurate counter punches even when his posture appears to be compromised is amazing. Izzy's head movement (reminds me of Ali), footwork and evasive defense makes him very difficult to hit clean as Whittaker found out. Your assessment of Jan's "reckless" entries is spot on. Jan tends to rush in with his shots, enter on a straight line, over extends, has marginal footwork and leaves himself open to counters . In additional to Izzy'z leg kicking and feinting game,I think Izzy will make him pay for his "reckless" entries and walk him onto shot after shot until he puts him away. Or Izzy will likely freeze him like he did to Costa and pick him apart. Not saying Jan's a pushover aferall he is the champion for a reason. I just think Izzy's footwork and takedown defense will challenge Jan's takedowns and Jan is not likely to win a striking battle with Izzy.

For sure Adesanya is very dangerous but he make mistakes too and Jan dont need many chances to knock out someone so we will see .
