Interesting tidbits from recent interviews and lives: it took them over 180 tries to get the final one shot for this and he almost got arrested, as he was practicing swinging the bat for this video and had the song on repeat on his headphones so that he can practice the words.. and he walked into a shop, did some shopping, while carrying the bat over his shoulder and saying all the lines, as he walked out there were two armed police officers (which is extreme for Britain) who then cuffed him, saying they had several calls saying that there is a crazy man with a bat robbing the shop 😂 and you should absolutely do pt2.. there will be less to break down, as he is pretty clear on the message in that one. Another fun one is Love Music pts 1-3.. got a bit of Ska vibe.. but is all about his love for any and all music.. for some heavy bars in those.. in Pt2 there is a whole section where he mentions most of the bond films.. it is super fun and vibey
Fun fact on the love music part 2 James bond references. He directly or indirectly references 20 different 007 movies while having the background as the 007 theme.😊
I was a little entrepreneur when I was a kid. My mother and youngest aunt (twins) ran their own business and ran the local crafts show circuit and I would help run the table at times, so by the time I hit middle school, I was already looking for ways to get ahead. So I quickly learned that the snack shack that opened up at morning break could be a volunteer position for students, supervised by the 'lunch lady.' So, every morning, I'd get to skip out of 2nd period early and get first pick to set aside my favorite donut (maple bar with sugar glaze), and then have leeway to be late to 3rd period, too. I also volunteered to work the locker room during gym, so, again, got to get out of the class before a little early, got to end gym a little early, and got to get to the next class a little late. It wasn't till high school that I got into working the lunch period (would buy my own donut on the way into school to be supplemented with a hot chocolate from the snack shack - this one was attached to the football stadium, so was much better stocked). And since I already got a free lunch, that meant that I walked away with a little bit of cash every day. And if students wanted to get a little extra, so long as there was enough that we'd be spoiling it out, anyway, and they hid it well enough, I'd 'overlook' the hidden items. But if they came through at the beginning of lunch, or if it was a popular item that would almost always sell out, they were paying, no matter how much trouble they went through to tuck it out of sight. I was always a sucker for the tater tots, even if they were a bit soggy. But I really liked it when they had fresh ripe bananas or raisins available. If I carried lunch (rare, since I got free lunch already) then I was all in on a PB&J. Still love a good PB&J, though the butter is sometimes not peanut and instead of jelly, I'll often substitute honey. There's so much variety to be had.
Moon pies banana moon pies (I’m from the South) 😂😂 my husband brought some home a while back but they were chocolate ☹️ Great reaction! You do a great job of breaking down the lyrics/themes! Love your channel!
We didn't have fun snacks back then, lol. My lunch was always left over dinner, or a sandwich. Seriously, the snack machine at school had apples...just apples...red, yellow, or green. Though I loved getting a giant cookie for 5 cents for nutrition break, when family could afford it. If I did my chores all week I got a quarter for my allowance...just enough for the cookies.
Have you reacted to Money Game 2 yet? Ren is filming the video for Money Game 3 today, so I was going back though MG reactions. I love Money Game 2 Ren shared a funny story about this video. He was carrying the bat over his shoulder walking down the streets reciting lines and went into a grocery store oblivious to the fact that he was looking like a crazed madman 😹 People called the cops on him and he had to convince them that he was just a crazy musician working on a video 😜 Apparently you aren’t allowed to carry a bat around like that
The jacket he had on the whole time until the end is a rain coat. Similar to a parka. Given that the chorus is rain, rain, rain, a storm it comes our way its like he is symbolizing the greedy people and the guitar player is the labor workers. When he was about to pour the gas on the guy the guitarist lifts the guitar. The guitar is almost like a symbolism of the tools the laborers use to make the money that the rich take. When he lifted his guitar and ren caught what he was doing he realized that it would be a bad idea to kill off the bread winners. Then it was like that thought woke up ren to realize what he was doing and he shed the greedy persona to burn himself. Almost saying that we need to shed the greedy mentality and break away from that deadly sin.
He burns himself - 1 it's reminiscent of the monk who did this to protest and 2. As he says - start with yourself - look in the mirror - we're all part of this money game as u got 100%. PIPPA ❤
@@zack_reacts ah - wish I’d seen your comment here before I just posted my comment also mentioning how you didn’t comment on the eyes being drawn on. It’s weird - hardly anyone reacting to this digs into the symbolism behind that. I keep waiting for someone to go deep on it, and because you’d dug into the other bits, I was hoping you’d be “the one” ;)
I liked openin my bag and seein a pepperoni roll. And for the people who know about it, it should narrow down where I live in the US. And great reactions as usual man!

That is Romain from The Big Push playing guitar.
I absolutely love that you took your time to really dig in. Besides you only Knox Hill does that and I hugely enjoy your content for it!
I appreciate that!

Don't stop talking - your breakdowns are a way of really giving time and respect to Ren's work and skill. ☮
You're gonna go nuts on Money Game 2 and he says he's working on Money Game 3
Come along for the Ren ride friend 😎❤ You won't regret it ;) 👍❤️🌎🌍🌏✌️

Nice breakdown on a complex themed song. Subbed. 👏

You missed him draw eyes on him, as a symbol for him awakening him.
No I saw that. I was worried my video was getting too long so I was trying to limit the stopping
@@zack_reacts it wasn't meant as an accusation, sorry. I just thought it was a very powerful statement.

Can’t wait for Oct 12th 🖤
U missed when he 'ruffed him up' he was actually drawing eyes on the guy! So he can see now?
#insane is the new #sane ❤

Isn't that like a cold hot pocket?
@@zack_reacts Haha, basically.
