Out of every 100 reported rapes in the UK, there are under 3 convictions, this conviction shows what can be done if they put a bit of effort into finding the rapist.
Every case that is opened is checked thoroughly. Many factors are involved including the date it’s been reported to when it happened, the location etc..
@zac2649 In 2023 near 11,000 rapes were reported in London, of that 11,000 only 1,419 resulted in someone being charged! They boast about having over a 70% conviction rate, but fail to mention that its over 70% of people charged, as opposed to over 70% of reported rapes. The stats are shocking to anyone who has studied them, and getting a conviction is not always even a real outcome, as many of the convicted get off with no jail time!
The stats speak for themselves, and it is not all the fault of the police, as the diabolical judicial system means that only an estimated 1 in 7 rapes are even reported, as victims know in advance that it might be years before it even goes to trial, then they get victimised all over again, and all for nothing, as the rapists get off with either light sentences or none at all! Rape Crisis centres in the UK now even advise women not to report it to the police, as the whole system will traumatise them further!
Lastly, if every case that was opened was thoroughly investigated, there would not be such a shockingly low charge rate!

@abz7800it is not as simple as this. Deterrence based policing works even if the offender does not know the exact sentences. It relies on severity, certainly and celerity. I am happy to explain this properly if you want as I am a criminologist specialising in sexual violence.
England will never introduce the death penalty for rapist and pedos because the elite are doing it.
If you punish rape with the death penalty rapists are more likely to kill their victim because if they are already getting life, why not go all the way? Thats why life sentences are reserved for murder
