Thank you for taking us on another trip around the world. Being Norwegian, I especially appreciated this. Wonderful artwork of the Sam’i people. Incredible is the perfect word to describe her work.
Wow! Such eye candy! She is an imaginative, captivating storyteller. Her art draws you into the history, culture, lifestyle, and ancestry of her people. Each piece evokes a wide range of emotions. Thank you for introducing us to such a unique artist. ~Terri ❤ 😊
@@Carol-gq2qk her work really needs to be seen in person as it’s so incredibly intricate and often quite delicate and detailed, but I did my best to capture at least some of it!!
Wow! I just wanted to reach into the screen and touch everything! Exquisite. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. The cloth and stitches truly speak volumes from the soul of the people and land.
Thank you so much for thinking of us. She captured the life of the Sami people perfectly. I also noticed how movement is conveys with a few simple stitches. Additionally she adeptly conveys the vastness of Lapland by using fabric ( perhaps paper) and stitching between the snow and the deep blue sky. A simple yet complex life through mixed media.
just wow! for a moment there I wanted to get myself a weekend trip to Oslo just to see it! how long was that tapestry?!! it seemed to go on for ever...
Thank you so much for sharing Labba´s wonderful pictures. Some years ago I saw an exhibition with her work. Britta Markatt-Labba is living in Sweden, not Norway. Thank you again.
@@ArianeZurcher212 Another wonderful swedish artist, in my opinion, is Lars Lerin. He paints in water colour. He is a master of painting the light, I think. Hope you enjoy your trip.
She is a wonderful artist and she speaks of the Sami peoples way of living. They hasn’t and still not been treated very good by both the Swedish and Norwegian states. Btw I think she is from Finland. I have send you 2 mails with Copenhagen stuff.
Apparently I didn’t, first I used the mails from your Jewelry website and they didn’t work, then the box to fill out on your workshop site, that I haven’t got return. Just tried the one you gave me now, hope it works, if not I give up.
@@lisbethdegn-dragenkunst received and responded with a heartfelt Thank You, thank you!!! What a terrific list. We will be very busy and I’m so glad we will be in Copenhagen for four days. We will need every second! ❤️

wonderful exhibit!! I'm surprised she didn't use the wonderful traditional textiles of the sami peoples. maybe they are all gone?
I don’t know, but am very excited that I’m traveling to Lapland on this trip and hope to see some of the textiles from that region.
