The Bells of Parochialkirche, Berlin

Climb Berlin’s Parochialkirche tower with me and see two bells from the original 1717 de Grave carillon, as well the new 2016 Petit & Fritsen carillon. My host, Anna Kasprzycka, takes us through the church, the attic, and the tower, shows us the practice carillon and the bells. I play the opening of my concert: Wings of the Morning, the first movement of “American Gothic".
Parochialkirche is home to one of four carillons in Berlin. The others can be found at Tiergarten, Französischer Dom, and Nikolaikirche.
