"Ta-152 H has a good climb rate" I thought that it has poor climb and it was dependent of it's airspawn.
ive had no issues with climb rate even when spawning af. just zoom climb
It has a decent climb rate + an air spawn that's gives it a significant height advantage over its enemies. I'm usually level or above 99% of enemies while flying the 152 H-1

In my opinion, the F4U-4B is one from the bests planes in us tech tree, if u using this correctly u can at least defeat every enemy even if they playing jets against you...
no f4u is gonna be able to kill a 262 if the pilot is good
@@christophermalthe1818 I'm not really too sure, the 262 can always stay out of the 4b's guns, but if the 4b doesn't stall himself out, the 262 has a tough time killing it. We're talking a 1v1 here, stalemate isn't a win, if the 262 wants to win he has to take risk to get a shot, and as he extends away after missing the 4b will get a shot. Yeah, a good pilot won't get shot down, but if the corsair has braincells, he won't get shot down either. The 4b also has a really good chance of hitting the 262 as he extends as well, and it only takes 1 or 2 shells to cripple the 262.

Can confirm it's an amazing plane and as long as you keep your speed it'll handle just about anything in a fight.
The F4U-4B VMF-214 is my favorite aircraft in the game. I’m a history teacher and former Marine so it was an obvious purchase for me.

@@winnietheflu4633 Side climb, stay fast, don’t overuse your WEP as it runs out in long fights, the engine is tailored for low altitude so it struggles up high, and use the cannons in bursts as they make the plane shake and dip its nose with sustained rates of fire.
F4U-4B is a testament to the fact that planes shouldn't be up-BR'd to the point where their flight model is so uncompetitive just because their armament slaps. Thinking J7W1 mostly but you can name more like the J22(granted any lower and it clubs).
The Zeroes have been victim to this as well. I mean honestly who thinks the A6M5 Otsu is in any way competitive against this monster, or a Yak 3U? Or any of the 5.7 to 6.3 planes. Only reason why they used to be able to kill 5.7s were because people were dumb enough to try and dogfight it
I think it's a complicated issue, I'm playing the F4U-1C at the moment and it really doesn't have the performance of a 4.7 plane, it's purely the guns that put it there otherwise it should be 3.7-ish BR.
However, I'm still consistently getting 4+ kill matches in it due to enemies all hugging the deck as well as everyone being braindead and just stalling themselves out infront of those monstrous 20mm guns it's got.
If it were at 3.7 with those guns it'd absolutely skullfuck everything, so I can't exactly complain about it's current BR either.

@@aurelianrebels9074 Yeah, and I personally have seen it all. People complaining about energy fighters running/turn fighters just existing. Getting salty about an opponent playing it right is massive skill issue, I mean Defyn's Yak-3U video's Zero pilot is just next level. People complaining about turnfighters is quite commonplace but I'll be damned if I meet someone with the audacity to cry about people running.
@@JamesVDBosch I suppose yeah in a 1v1 a F4U-1C should not stand a chance but in random battles the additional element of headons and being able to bomber intercept makes a slightly higher BR justified for an armament upgrade, but I think most of them are pretty unwarranted or at least just excessive.

AN-M2 and M3 cannons are hands down the most reliable and powerful weapons in the game. Getting 10 tank kills and 5 air kills in one mag in an f8f1b in ground rb is a distinct possibility with these guns.
One of my favorite things to do is take it to top tier and go head on with top tier jets. 80% of the time I win. It has a higher burst mad than an f4j.

You made a comment about the average F4U-4B game being really boring, I remember this being very true. Most of the time you'll get a game with maybe 10v10 and it's basically a bomber hunter simulator against 288c's.

Here's a tip i learned for if a plane is trying to outrun you (on the deck) after losing a dogfight, just switch to mgs and fire them, you don't even have to hit, the enemy will probably assume they are still cannon rounds and will start dodging, and so they will slowly lose speed until you get in range and they run out of energy, than just slap them with cannons, this works great for killing American ground pounders especially in ground rb where everyone just sits on the deck

I actually just started grinding out this plane because it has some of the best 20mms in game. Any tips for F4U-1D?
Sorry it’s a long one. Looking at that plane having the performance of a 4.3 at 3.0 it’s a flying engine. Use it for boom and zooming. Use speed, it is quite literally your best friend. Climb to altitude and just accelerate. Use the bat shit insane performance at high speeds to your advantage. While everyone compresses, corsairs actually just do not compress.
1. Speed is key
2. If in a dogfight pay attention to your energy
3. Only engage in turn fights at really high speeds as the Corsair is easily one of the best really high speed fighters
4. Boom and zoom
5. Be carful the Corsair is not that great at retaining energy
6. Historical information isn’t really applicable to WT. IE, zeros weren’t nearly as good as Corsairs and hellcats in turn fights exceeding 217mph as the compress like hell however in war thunder this does not happen
I am pretty new to planes and currently on first mustang (one with hispanos) and i still don't understand how to boom and zoom or what it even means or what to do when someone is on my tail. I just climb for minutes at the start to like 3km altitude and try to dive on someone but they are all usually at low altitude and i just compress. Or i just simply cant land my shots and they maneuver out and get on my six. Idk what i am doing wrong. I can barely get 1 kill ever other game.

One technique he uses here that he doesn't explain is playing the game when all the high-flight hour players are working 2nd shift so you don't get clubbed by someone who can take you out with a paper bag and some spare change, no matter your advantage.
I do concede that it is very much a skill issue though. might compile my nvidia higlights into a video.

While they all have busted engine output and speed they are a little bit different.
The F4U-1s and F4U-4s are played the exact same, bullshit speed and phenomenal maneuverability at high speeds as their airframe allows them to do so. They really differ in only in engine with the 4s having a stronger version of the engine. However they still all have extremely impressive speed with the F4U-1s achieving speeds in the 430s mph and 4s being in the 440s-450s mph
I don't know if it got nerfed recently but I've tried using it and it's truly dreadful. The guns don't work and it compresses like crazy at speed preventing you from making effective use of its high dive speed. I am not having any luck whatsoever with it, especially when it was stock

sorry, DEFYN. I love this plane too, but I won't play this. Gayjin's 288 ruined everything between 5.3~6.3. Air RB for that BR is totally deserted. It takes an hour to find interesting matches like your video. ;(

This plane is great because it’s the first US plane that feels competitive at its BR. It comes after a long grind of planes with only .50 cals going up against enemies with 20-30mm cannons.
There are many competitive American planes before 6.0 lol
@@lixlivlxxxiv714 guess I meant that it’s the first one that actually feels like a powerful plane with an advantage over others at the BR, like finally the US gets a uniquely strong fighter. especially if you are uptiered it can perform well. Most other US planes before this are disgustingly useless in uptiers because Of below average climb rates and weaponry. At the end of the day it comes down to what you enjoy flying the most and what feels right to you.
This is why ARB is so horrible to grind. Everygame you got someone like DEFYN or just very experienced dominating every game and making the grind a literal hell.

I love this plane, but I've been complaining about 6.0 matchmaking for months, I genuinely feel like the Ju288c is single-handedly lowering germany's winrate at that BR. Most games at 6.0 you'll be against germany, and as you said they'll have 4 ju288c's. Sometimes the enemy team will have only 10 people, and nearly half the team or more will be bombers and attackers, where often on the allies side it's quite different leaving them very much outclassed. The f2g is very undertiered in terms of performance in my opinion but the average pilot allows it to be at that BR. Matchmaking can take quite some time at 6.0, largely because practically nobody plays at this BR, possibly for some reasons which I've discussed.
Even though I have a 2+ K/D in the Fw-190 D9, because I always get teams with 4 bombers and a single 109 I have a 51% win rate with 850 battles.
You genuinely feel like the 288 is lowering the win rate for Germans at 6.0
.. I have confirmed this on the stats website. Shame Gaijin killed one of the best tiers in the game, so noob ass tankers can come and ruin a slice of Air RB instead of farming in their own game mode. Pretty annoying, but I still play the tier anyway.
@@ATBatmanMALS31 Same. My current Germany main is the G10. Its good at altitude and gets there reasonably fast but it just cant compete with the 4B and F2G.
in the K4, u would often find urself againts 10 muricans and brits combined.. once u go below 5k they'll punish u badly then right after u die another K4 or Ta will join the game late like a freaking loophole that start repeating itself... that's how bad it is for Germany at 5.7 - 6.0 br... those 288s should just go againts early jets lol.
Best plane (to counter the 6.0 high speed US) is 5.0 USSR lol. I feel like I do better in a full up tier than a full down at that range. Bomber pilots have been asking for a bomber game mode for a while, because they want to play PvE in a PvP game I guess... I wish Gaijin would give it to them already. Air RB used to be so pure, Gaijin really fucked it up making mid-tier bomber farming the go to for people that are farming for tanks and shit.
