  • This morning, we are talking about the Case for the Gospels. They’re important because they are our best source of information about the life, teachings, miracles, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They unambiguously portray Jesus as the miracle-working, unique son of God who came on a mission to rescue us from our sin.
How do we know they are reliable and trustworthy in what they tell us? Are the gospels mythology, made up to make a point? Or are they intended to be taken as actual history? How do we succinctly make a case for the gospels?
Lee Strobel gives us an easy-to-remember framework for how we can remember why we trust the reliability of the gospels. He builds a case for the reliability of the gospels to help us remember the evidence for the reliability and to respond to common objections people raise about the gospels.
    Scripture: Luke 1: 1-4; 2 Timothy 3: 16-17

Wow! Took me almost 30 minutes to see that this was a church and not a rock concert! Interesting.

Hi there! We understand that contemporary worship may not be everyone's preference, which is why we offer our Traditions service in our chapel on Sundays at 9:00am, if you're able to join. 💙
Our goal with worship is to worship God as a church with every song we sing. Below is the set list for this service if you'd like to read the lyrics.
      - Thrill Of Your Love by Woodlands Worship
      - Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies) by Chris Tomlin
      - Who You Say I Am by Hillsong Worship
      - O Come to the Altar by Elevation Worship

And it's crazy skeptics can give us ancient sources that say Jesus didn't exist

This music doesn't match or help the message. Only my opinion. I leave this here for the people who maybe think the same.

Lee Strobel is such a blessing, but I question the validity of the music selections as a means of appropriate worship. I feel the beats of the devil have no place in God's house. You may not like this, but it's truth. At least the people get some real spiritual meat, after the honoring of the devil with his music beats. You cannot stand with one foot on one side of the fence and the other foot on the other side. It sends a message of a conversion where certain aspects of the devil are still okay. Not a good message to send. Satan has been using music for a long, long time. There's science to prove that the beats of rock-n-roll compromise the function of the prefrontal cortex. God's Word tells us: And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. -- Matthew 22:37 (ESV) You cannot claim you are loving the Lord with all your mind when you compromise the prefrontal cortex with music that is already tainted with voodoo beats. We don't have Christian Heroin or Christian Beer or Christian Porn, but it's okay to have Christian Rock? Rock has been the devil's tool for a long time, and slapping a Christian label or Christian words at it does not, by any measure, detract from the inherent evil in rock. I believe when the Lord tells us to love Him with ALL our minds, we can't intentionally go trying to compromise the mind with the music we select to worship with. I John 2:15 (ESV): Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. . . God said it, not me. You probably should consider this, but more importantly pray on it. This is all MY opinion with God's Word tossed in. I cannot tell you how to worship, that's only between you and God, but I can say I won't be participating in that kind of "worship". I go to church to worship God, not give honor to the devil with worldly music or attend a rock concert.

So you believe in all your heart that kids didn't beat box or make music with their mouth? Drum on their chest? Music can be interpreted through all means. Yes the enemy if the chieftain of music but just because he is, all types of music other than hymns are evil? Did David play music? He was a musician, warrior, king, human, he went through all emotion. Do you not think his music affected his moods, emotion turmoil and happiness? Be not like pharisees and saducees who think so highly of themselves.

It’s probably the most ironic thing in the world that your name is William Chapman. That is also Steven Curtis Chapman’s son’s name, and he happens to be the drummer of Colony House, a secular indie rock band, lol.

The beat is not a problem, rather the message.
In the bible we see david playing the harp and instruments. It even says he would jump and dance for the Lord.

@Sarah Hodgins How do you know whether the rythym of the songs didnot resemble those of pagans?

Lying for Jesus. Why do Christians befall for this without thinking.
