    Just ordered two for our large casement windows upstairs in the kids bedrooms. Got an estimate for double hung windows to replace our nice casements so we could run portable air conditioner units in their rooms and needless to say, this product here is the best fiscal solution by far. Kids have been sleeping in the basement for the last three summers. God Bless you for creating this product! I priced custom cut plexiglass through Lowes and it was slightly less expensive but with thinner glass and no nicely cut hole. Cheers!

    Looks like a great product. If I have an extra screen that I’m not using that fits my window, could I simply super glue your insert to the frame of the screen and use the screen’s spring locks to hold the screen and insert in place?
    Thanks.

  • @JennySnowy
    @JennySnowy 18 дней назад +1

    Oh man, so with windows that open like that, you can get plexiglass the same size of the frame, that fits into the groove of the window probably with foam tape to create a seamless and protected edge, and cut out a hole for the hose to attach into. It will be clear, better working and better looking than the cheap fabric cover. I only know this because I use a portable air conditioner and I go down a rabbit hole of all the information out there when I get invested into finding the right one for me.

    Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    Forget measuring the hose, just use the hose connection hole that's already in the window kit (every ac should come with a window kit) as a template for the plexiglass.

    • @Thommadura
      @Thommadura 11 месяцев назад +1

      No - Do not vent through a screen. THAT would allow the hot air coming from the Air Conditioner to flow around and back into the room along with Humidity. YOU CAN - if you do not need to see through the window - replace the screen with a thin piece of Plywood or fiberboard - but Paint it to protect it against the weather.
