This is easily the best mob grinding spot I have found in New World. Side note, you will still get the same XP from here even if you're a much higher level, so it will still be good for leveling up weapons at higher levels.
Nice video! Haven't seen many videos about grinding mobs so far, would agree that it is most likely slower in lvl xp compared to questing and killing mobs in between. However, in order to give yourself an advantage in world pvp it is important to lvl up the weapons fast and gather good equip, so spending some hours at these spots might be worth it.
Wow - not sure where to begin 1. You can solo this easily at much lower level just by doing life-staff/great axe and wear plate (put all stat points into focus) - put down healing circle, switch to great axe (amber gem if you have a gem slot) and just use cleave (you can look up what great axe cleave is) - you can pull all of them at the same time and kill all of them in 2-3 hits. So you don't need a healer at all. 2. The fastest way to level up weapon skills is open world elite areas - they are marked on the map - you can level any weapon from level 1 to 20 in about an hour if you have a fast AoE group 3. Mob grinding for XP - is terrible - even with all the project board nerfs - setting up a camp between the 3 starting cities - and just using that to run and respawn - you can do project board quest from all 3 starting towns and easily get to 60 in less than a week without any exploits. Don't mob grind - it's a total waste of your time - this was decent 10 months ago in preview but they nerfed Xp from mob grinding HARD - there's a good reason why mob grinding is simply not done for leveling anymore
Once you are several levels above these mobs it becomes inefficient. You maybe get 140 weapon xp for the whole group of mobs but thats not efficient. You need to do places with elite mobs like dead mans cove if you want to get more weapon xp and make it worth while. Plus elite mobs drop decent potions and sometimes loot. Still your level needs to be close to that of the mobs because they nerfed mob xp very hard...
Well its one of the kind. I would not recomend doing it. Cause leveling weapons : PvP is better, Red Portals or Dungeons are good enough and bring some better loot. My recomendation is to farm up basic resources and just killing the monster in between. So while farming 10-000 Iron, Wood, Hemp you gonna kill bunch of enemies. And 10.000 Iron is like nothing if it comes to tier 5 Craft. Use the time better way. Same for Fishing. Never do fishing as exclusiv. Always get some prio spots, and collect some Help, Iron doing it waiting them to respawn.
@@zepho100 If it comes to farming gear or weapons. Elite Areas are the way ofc. But you should not waste time doing them pre level 40. yeah ofc first level 25 elite areas are fine for weapons, or are maybe the fastest way. But I dont like wasting time doing only one thing. Drops are worse the faction gear in 90% of the time.
So for a weapon Mastery lvl1, would you recommend to farm it here from 1 to 9 or so? If yours was lvl11 or 12, I would say until weapon Mastery lvl9, it seems a pretty sweet spot to me.
im new to pc gaming last pc game i played was runescape, I'm looking to get a gaming pc before new world will a GTX 1650 super run this game on high setting fairly comfortable i am a complete pc noob and looking to buy a pre built for like 800-1200 any ideas would be much appreciated
1650 super is fine, low and high aren't that different from each other. Most people keep it capped at 60fps cause games not fully optimized. I have a 2060 super OC and get between 120-170 depending the area I'm at, not OC its 80-120 this is at low settings to.
edit- my farm was all with Ice+Fire, can't be nearly as efficient solo on any other weapon I've done quite some mob farming and this isn't really a top tier spot. Density isn't the highest and there are 2 mob types which means different movement, bad for aoe, on top of having people do their quests there and being close to the hemp farm and the main story quest area, a good farm spot is a lonely farm spot There are two favorite spots of mine, level 40 insane one, and for level 20 you should try the skeletons at Pyrgos Nao in First Light. You can pull 12-14 mobs who are all melee and all walk at the same speed, super easy to kite into 1 dense pack and aoe down with magic weapons. Respawn there was the fastest I've seen in the game for normal mobs, about a minute respawn. I was clearing the 6-9 mobs that are nearby while waiting Second is at Slumbering Echoes at the Great Cleave. Level 45. The area is huge and you never run out of mobs to kill. There you can pull up to 20 at a time and SUPER easily aoe them down. There is a TON of terrain you can abuse there to cause the mobs to run to you from a much longer path (similarities to WoW Classic solo Mage dungeon farm! yay!) also a lot of chests in that area and only 1 quest in the game that sends you there which is finished quickly, means no one will take your mobs. Same for Pyrgos, there's barely anything to do there. Especially since the farm spot is the small monument rather than the big one.
IMO places like this are very good for Weapon XP. It seems that it's generally better to farm easier to kill mobs rather than ones at your level. I've seen a video where people were farming at one of those Lv40 Elite mob zones where the mobs were giving around 110+ Weapon XP per kill. I'd kill a few normal mobs that are around Lv30 and end up with more Weapon XP overall by the time it took their whole party to kill 1 of those Elite mobs.

Agree, but unfortunately the game is made this way, same with resources they are all static, so after a month or two you won't be able to farm in peace on your best spots! I really do hate static spawns when it comes to resources, what's the point of the compass then?

U get the same amount yes, but it is more xp per level. Best place to lvl weapons are the outdoor dungeons

spot is ok but elite spots as 2 poeple much better for exp and weapons exp
Was ways better during the preview before you could get 4200 xp from this stop every 30 second saddly they nerf xp from mobs
But is it worth your time? Mob xp is such shite.
