For those who experience Korean food knows that the main dish usually savoury. So they made these side dishes to compliment the main flavour. Yes, some of them are sweet and some spicy and sour (like kimchi), but it really made all the dining experience complete. Thank you for the recipe. Will definitely try them. 😊❤️

I am so curious about the kkaennip kimchi (kimchi made of perilla leaves). I hope I can find some fresh perilla leaves at the Asian market soon, as the last few times I've been there, they have been out-of-stock.
    Everything looks fabulous.

Oh I hope you can get kkaennip(perilla leaves) soon
It's a food that Koreans really like, so it's delicious even if you grill meat and wrap it (we call it ssam when we eat it wrapped in lettuce or kkaennip(perilla leaves)),
Or, if you make it like my recipe, you can make it and eat it with rice for a little longer.

I use Sampio brand soy sauce, you can buy it using Korean brand soy sauce at a Korean mart.
I recommend buying naturally brewed soy sauce or jin soy sauce
Check this site, it's the soy sauce I use

Hi. Can we store the Braised potato in the fridge? Or is it eaten immediately?

Braised potatoes can be stored in the refrigerator. However, I recommend eating it with rice immediately after making it.

    • @made.soulfood

I recommend sugar. Or oligosaccharide syrup is fine. Adding sugar can be a little sweeter than corn syrup :)

The rate of diabetes will rise by time on Korea ...I understand the idea of all 5/6 tastes in a dish. Remember: all vegetables turn into sugar by digestion...no need to add extra sugar ...it's not healthy at all.
