Wow! I heard so many different songs from the drum kits. First, I said hold on… Planet Rock?!? That’s the inspiration to a whole dance genre, Freestyle aka Latin Hip-Hop. Then you went into the next kit and I heard distinctly Prince’s drums as well as handful of other songs. Bravo!
Hi, I'm totally inspired. Just watching two videos of yours, each concerning the sound and vibe of the 70s and 80s respectively, I have learned so much. A huge thanks to you for these deep insights and advice, all of which are tremendously valuable and helpful to me. You rock ill Factor!!!
dude, u dont know how much i am thankful for ur channel. I was about to give up on abelton, since there is no much tuturial abt it like FL studio. thank you
I’m so glad you’re making this a series!! Are you planning on only going up in decades, or do you also plan to go back (I’d love to see the 50’s or 60’s)?
The secret to 80's "stadium reverb" is the RMX16 nonlinear preset coupled with the talkback mic compressor of the SSL console (i think SSL makes an emulation of this talkback mic compressor)
This is sooo cool!! Every part was just spot on. I loved the vocals especially. I’m gonna try and steal some of these techniques for my live performances!
Great vid! Love your content even more, now I got me Ableton! 👍🏼Some technics and trick(return tracks) went a little quick, so I'll watch again and try to understand it better!
Could you do a deeper breakdown on the synths used in late 70's/80's Funk and Pop stuff like Zap & Roger, Michael Jackson, Wham, Peter Gabriel, Evelyn Champagne King etc.?
Indeed it does, cuz you'll be summing several instances of tape as opposed to having only one of them process the signal. Give it a shot, you'll be pleasantly surprised 🙂
I like really your bass Sound dear looks really fresh, and please ask me not to come into your academy I like good music and that's is one awesome you sax into that Track tunes really fresh out congratulations to your Mix !

Flashback in the mid July of 2023
I have Dexed, but I don't have rom1a in cart. Where do I get the rom for the DX7 for Dexed?
hi, I'm just a drummer starting with synth...how can I download the Oberheim bright sound to use with a midi controller?
Please can you drop the link to that rom preset patch for dexed
Does putting a tape emulation on all separate tracks make a difference compared to putting the tape emulation on the master out?
Indeed it does, cuz you'll be summing several instances of tape as opposed to having only one of them process the signal. Give it a shot, you'll be pleasantly surprised 🙂
I like really your bass Sound dear looks really fresh, and please ask me not to come into your academy I like good music and that's is one awesome you sax into that Track tunes really fresh out congratulations to your Mix !
