    Love these - I recommend using a round cookie cutter under the ball to keep it steady while felting!

    Another great idea. I actually use my dryer balls that have been helping to dry my washed clothes. I swap them out after a few months because they do soften after awhile and then are easier to needle felt. They do not pick up any coloring and remain white because they have only been with clean items.

    If a dryer ball is a bit to firm add a bit of core wool around the out side so the roving has something to cling to.

    Blending boards are also quite useful to get your wool back together after your pets have shredded it and scattered it all over the floor lol
