I used to collect mini brands since series one and had mini shelves on a whole wall in my living room, but then I woke up to my house on fire and lost everything. I can’t bring myself to start over but I miss them and these new sets are amazing :(

And now I'm hungry LOL Sonic does have their own Mini Brands with the kids' meals, but they're huge, just like the one you got in the ball. I don't know why they're so much bigger. I like the smaller ones lol. I love the corn dog! If you get a double of it, you could paint the ketchup to look like mustard. I love mustard on corn dogs. :D

Those subway cookies (if you never had them) are pretty amazing for chocolate chips!!! I usually get nice and soft ones if lucky, but sometimes they can have a slight crunchy texture. Still very amazing!!!

Here's an update on Sonic wacky packs for those interested: I called many Sonics in my area (midwest) and they told me, they get the wacky pack prizes about a month before they are to release. So...the official launch is in August you can get them at sonic. Most (if not all) won't allow you to have the toy early. They do sell it separately if you don't want the kids meal. They are numbered and all the Sonics should have full sets. Hope this helps :)

The ball is a little expensive but it's worth it to me because they look pretty detailed and seem as tho they are of good quality. Do you think they are a good investment to begin collecting ? Hi GB! Hope you are well. The Sonic mini brands are 20 in total. #1-4 is the bags and u get a random bag in each mini pack. There is golden ones, glow in the dark ones and yes you are able to get them easily. A full set of the minis( not 100% sure about the bags) is #4 thru 20. The size of the minis is more American Girl size, it is too big for dolls like barbie( I do not have any yet but I have seen pics of the minis. ) hope this helps 😊

I love these. And I liked how you reviewed them. So with mini brands we got the ingredients. Now we get the finished products. I’m going to try to get a case. Doubles are cool just not 4 or 5.
Hardee's and Carl's Jr are essentially the same restaurant, location dictates which name is used, I believe. In Chicago it's Hardee's. It's ok food. Here in Central Indiana some are a mix of Hardee's and Red Burrito. Those are the ones I tend to frequent more often. The taco shell salad is great! When I go to the Hardee's in Chicago my food seems to be more rushed and extra greasy.
That's interesting...I've never heard of any other restaurant doing this (picking different names). So I guess I'm out of luck with the Chicago ones. Unless I go way up north, maybe I can find some there that are not "rushed".😅
@@GBKuhleen there are other instances with dual names for a restaurant. The other one that comes to mind right away is Rally's/Checker's. Both companies use the same branding, usually have the same menu (I've seen small menu changes based on the availability/consumer desires of certain products. If I remember correctly Hardee's/Carl's Jr merged and part of the merger said that the companies couldn't come into the established areas that had been in place. So, there was no need for rebranding because there was no internal competition for customers. Carl's Jr is mainly West coast and Hardee's is mainly Midwest and East coast. The other reason a company might choose to use different names for different areas has to do with trademarks. If I remember correctly Checker's/Rally's had an issue securing the Rally's name in a few areas and during the merger with Checker's they decided to keep the Checker's names where they couldn't get licensed/trademarks with their name. It was a way to keep business running smoothly without having to rebrand everywhere, which can be costly and time consuming.
@@GBKuhleen as for finding a good Hardee's, you're probably going to need to travel a distance to get to one. There's really only one in the Chicago limits. There's some that are scattered around in the (Western) suburbs but they are few and far between. The underperforming stores have been closed for a while and it decimated the Chicago area. I know the one in Kankakee County (my hometown area) was closed almost a decade ago (it was NOT a good one). Other than traveling West, you'd have to drive south to the Champaign area to get to a Hardee's. Tbh, the drive isn't worth the experience. If you come across one while traveling on a vacation or something, cool. But, I wouldn't drive somewhere solely for the purpose of trying the restaurant. It would end up being a really expensive, unremarkable burger

I recently went to St. Louis and I got to try Jack in The Box which was quite good. I'm seeing many of these (like Hardee's) in videos like Good Mythical Morning and I'm always curious to see what they have and how their food is compared to the other fast foods (McDonald's, Wendy's, etc.)
I think that big Sonic drink is the Route 44. Also I think the White Castle rings were "chicken rings" I don't know it's not like I go to White Castle or Sonic all the time. I'm just saying 😏. I LOVE how you have various hypothesis for why things are the way they are. Very analytical. 👍 I've got to get some of these, I didn't know they were around.

The chip in the wacky pack is a peppermint. It has a scratch n sniff sticker on it. Sonic includes mints in the bag when you get their food

I love this series. Have you seen the Wacky Packages minis? I grew up in the 70’s collecting those original trading cards, so I love Wacky Packages.

Hardee's and Carl's Jr are essentially the same restaurant, location dictates which name is used, I believe. In Chicago it's Hardee's. It's ok food. Here in Central Indiana some are a mix of Hardee's and Red Burrito. Those are the ones I tend to frequent more often. The taco shell salad is great! When I go to the Hardee's in Chicago my food seems to be more rushed and extra greasy.
That's interesting...I've never heard of any other restaurant doing this (picking different names). So I guess I'm out of luck with the Chicago ones. Unless I go way up north, maybe I can find some there that are not "rushed".😅
@@GBKuhleen there are other instances with dual names for a restaurant. The other one that comes to mind right away is Rally's/Checker's. Both companies use the same branding, usually have the same menu (I've seen small menu changes based on the availability/consumer desires of certain products. If I remember correctly Hardee's/Carl's Jr merged and part of the merger said that the companies couldn't come into the established areas that had been in place. So, there was no need for rebranding because there was no internal competition for customers. Carl's Jr is mainly West coast and Hardee's is mainly Midwest and East coast.
The other reason a company might choose to use different names for different areas has to do with trademarks. If I remember correctly Checker's/Rally's had an issue securing the Rally's name in a few areas and during the merger with Checker's they decided to keep the Checker's names where they couldn't get licensed/trademarks with their name. It was a way to keep business running smoothly without having to rebrand everywhere, which can be costly and time consuming.
@@GBKuhleen as for finding a good Hardee's, you're probably going to need to travel a distance to get to one. There's really only one in the Chicago limits. There's some that are scattered around in the (Western) suburbs but they are few and far between. The underperforming stores have been closed for a while and it decimated the Chicago area. I know the one in Kankakee County (my hometown area) was closed almost a decade ago (it was NOT a good one). Other than traveling West, you'd have to drive south to the Champaign area to get to a Hardee's. Tbh, the drive isn't worth the experience. If you come across one while traveling on a vacation or something, cool. But, I wouldn't drive somewhere solely for the purpose of trying the restaurant. It would end up being a really expensive, unremarkable burger

I recently went to St. Louis and I got to try Jack in The Box which was quite good. I'm seeing many of these (like Hardee's) in videos like Good Mythical Morning and I'm always curious to see what they have and how their food is compared to the other fast foods (McDonald's, Wendy's, etc.)

I think that big Sonic drink is the Route 44. Also I think the White Castle rings were "chicken rings" I don't know it's not like I go to White Castle or Sonic all the time. I'm just saying 😏. I LOVE how you have various hypothesis for why things are the way they are. Very analytical. 👍
