This falls into the power of simplicity with really cool mechanics for me. 2 other of my favorite games recently are like this, pogo rogue and footgun underground.

With the collector weapon turning doesn't reduce damage, that is a property of the shooter weapon! In fact using turns to delay picking up the collectable to get the big shot can increase damage!
I'd you can pick up the retrieve thing while dashing I think if you had the double speed when picking up, regenerates health if you took dmg within 2 second of a pick up then you dash into a large pickup, you go flying and get like 5 pick ups before dash runs out then just tank the next hit (if there is one) to the next pick up and you regen the hp you just lost tand it'll get even better the more dmg with large pick ups and the higher your max speed is

IMO if u have a job worst case it’s min wage which around the us is 10+ most of the time it’s like an hour of working for a game that will give you a minimum of 5 hours of content + rouge like worth tbh
