I remember when movies like this used to be so silent at times, now everything has music even in the background, i dont know about you but it made the scene more intense especially if it were a fight scene like the type of stuff you see in Conan.
My grandmother used to say about this movie that it wasn't "black and white and had no sound or not much sound" Like those walt disney movies from the 1930's and 1940's. The only movie or series she approved was "our gang" (Little Rascals)
How come Grandpa Joe has a much bigger role in the movie than the other 3 grandparents? Grandma Josephine talks a little bit, but I don’t think George and Georgina have any dialogue at all in the movie.
I think Mr Wilkinson was Willy Wonka’s lawyer. With all the other candy makers trying to steal his recipes and pass them off as their own, it would make sense for him to eventually get a lawyer to ensure no one tries to falsely accuse him of anything and take his recipes or his money.

Ernst Ziegler who played as Grandpa George was legally blind, from the result of mustard gas during the First World War.

In the 2005 version, Noah Taylor played Mister bucket.
And in the book it doesn't say but he has both of his parents and all four grandparents.

The actress who played Grandma Georgina died later that year, and the one who played Grandpa George died a couple of years later.

In the 2005 film with Freddie Highmore, the grandparents had more dialogue and better roles.
