We are back with 3rd episode of Switzerland tourism video. This time we are in Interlaken , a perfect base location to explore Jungfrau region .
Interlaken Switzerland, is a beautiful Swiss town situated at 566m above sea level, in the Bernese Oberland region of #swissalps . As the names suggests it is located between 2 lakes , the lake #brienz to the East and lake #Thun to the west and along side the river #aare , which flows between them.
Interlaken Switzerland is a perfect base for exploring the region and its spectacular mountains like #eiger , #mönch & #jungfraujoch and many more..
Interlaken Switzerland is a fantastic base for seeing the best of central Switzerland's magnificent scenery while enjoying the comforts of lakeside resort. Tourist attractions are all around it, with boat tours on Lakes Thun and Brienz at either side of the town and thrilling train and funicular rides to the spectacular surrounding mountain peaks.
Interlaken Switzerland is one of the oldest, best known, and most popular summer holiday resorts in #Switzerland.
Day or night, you'll find plenty of things to do in and around Interlaken. Along with the almost endless variety of walks, climbs, and outdoor excursions, there are many other sports available for active travelers. On the right bank of the Aare, opposite the Kursaal, is a swimming pool, and visitors will find a golf course in Unterseen, as well as sailing and windsurfing on the lakes, paragliding, horseback riding, and tennis.
And here you will find 300 Kg bronze statue of the famous Bollywood movie director "Yash Chopra", who is also designated as the Brand ambassador of Interlaken.
Above all, Interlaken Switzerland is a perfect base for exploring the #jungfrau region and its spectacular mountains.

I think three nights in interlaken would be a bit too much. There are not many activities to do. I guess 1 day would be enough to explore.

We kept Interlaken as base for Jungfrau region and felt three nights was less, we couldn't do many things in that region.
There are many things to do in the surrounding.

Hello, we almost booked a month in advance. Actually apartment availability may differ based on season you are visiting.. During peak season book in well advance..

Great information! The website you mentioned for hotels, is that legit, meaning vetted by their local govt/ordinance? Were you able to book apt. that were refundable? My other struggle is even when I search via apt in Interlaken OST, search result shows outside of Interlaken OST. What is the tip? How far was your apt from the OST-central area? Also, is there cab service if you can't walk, or tired? Thanks!
Yes, www.myswitzerland.com is the official website of Switzerland tourism. refund policy may vary from hotel to hotel.. In our case we paid to the owner in cash during check-in. and our apartment was in Interlaken west (10 mins walk from station). & there was also bus stop near to the apartment with good bus connectivity to Interlaken west station.

I can’t see any video about mt. Titlis and zurich rhine falls. So you have not visited or others episodes are not yet ready
Yes we have not published those videos yet..after zermatt we took glacier express and made Lucern as our base ,and visited mt. Titlis, Mt. Rigi , Stanserhorn,lake brieanz tour etc.. as it is winter time people would-be more interested to see winter activities like skii etc.. so we will publish our other videos during early summers

How far was this apartment from Interlaken ost station ??
And did u use bus to get to the apartment from station??
This apartment is in Interlaken west (not in ost).. And yes we took bus to reach there and it was walkable from Interlaken west station.. Couple of time we walked too
May I know from this hostel, can we get bus or train easily?
Not sure which hostel you are talking about.. If you are talking about swiss youth hostel near to Interlaken ost, it is 2 mins walking distance from station.. If you are talking about other hostel which was near to the appartement where we stayed, it was 10-15 mins walk from Interlaken west station and bus stop was also near by

Hello, As shown in the video the apartment was good , neat & clean. It was spacious too and at a very affordable price.. The lady owner was very nice. I tried to book the same apartment or some other apartment from myswitzerland website but it's taking me to another website where there is no option of payment and reservations. Its showing good price but unable to book. Can you me or guide me pls. Or share your contact
There must be an "Inquire" option using which you can send your query /interest to book apartment to the owner.. It will trigger an email directly to the owner. We too did the same & booked apartment through email. thanks
