  • Welcome to "Art in the Box: Thriving with Creative Limitations"! 🎨✨
Feeling boxed in by limited resources, chronic illness, or space? You're not alone. In this video, we dive into how to transform these creative limitations into powerful sources of inspiration and creative growth.
Circumstantial restrictions can feel oppressive at times, causing us to stop creating. Instead of finding ways to work with them we see them as an excuse to not create. But when we don’t create other less empowering identifications might come to the forefront. For example mainly identifying with being chronically ill.
It needs to be the other way around, first and foremost we are artists, people who create. Once that is clear, we can find ways how to turn the imposed restrictions into something fun. For example Paul Klee is known for his small formats, because he didn’t have the space. I delved into my specific style of drawing for similar reasons.
The main question must be: β€˜How can I turn the constraints I have in something fun I can work with creatively?’
