Walking 6 miles to cool off is some intense “I don’t want to go back to jail” type walk. The camera crew following him is absolutely bonkers. My sister worked in a prison with her ex and they never spoke about work. Ever. They were always super vague and would get irritated if i asked questions. They didn't want to talk about it
I have a friend who works in juvenile detention. I kept asking her things and she would ALWAYS shut me down! One day she told me ONE thing and I realized I should have stopped asking 😂. Never making THAT mistake again! LORD!

Let’s be clear about one thing: if you are “arguing” with someone and you bring a firearm into it, it did not go off by accident. They do not go off by themselves. You bring a firearm into an interaction for one reason only. And it isn’t accidental.
Just here as a gun lady to say, they absolutely can go off by themselves. Usually, it’s after they’ve been fired rapidly for an extended period of time, and haven’t had a chance for the barrel to cool off. This is why it’s important to be aware of which way your barrel is facing at all times. So yeah I don’t believe that story but to be factual, they do fire by themselves sometimes.

Like you said, the gun had to be fired round after round for that to happen, but we all know that didn't happen in this situation. My sister has schizophrenia and BPD and you can tell by the look in their eyes. It's either blank, full of fear, terror and hopelessness. It can be scary at times.
I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD, and IMO Arthur is exhibiting a lot of signs of it. He is triggered because he’s disassociated for so long that reality hitting him feels like/is causing psychosis. I’m happy to hear he went to therapy. PTSD undiagnosed feels like something that you won’t escape, and like you’re changed forever and the life you knew is gone, you don’t know who you are or how to live this completely new life. It’s overwhelming and causes anxiety attacks. Much love to him.
Plus, the pressure of a camera crew during his adjustment. That’s something that’s very stressful on its own. He might’ve talked and shared his feelings if there weren’t strangers with cameras. I know I wouldn’t speak about my trauma on camera or in front of strangers, that stuff is private. This dude clearly wasn’t okay and it makes me wonder how people are found for this show.

This man had his mom leave him at a friends house until he was put in cps. A man who watched as a man was stabbed to death and left to die and he was shook. My daddy has a dump truck and best you believe he taught his baby girl to drive anything. So what? You want a ring? You deserve what? Life’s not what it’s made out to be and you are more than old enough to realize that and that’s why you gaslight an inmate.
People have to understand being locked up is always different for everyone, no matter how long or short the sentence is. Everyone experience is different.

I don’t see people as demons but I’m wary and shut down. Or he could have a history of mental illness that was triggered by the recent PTSD from his prison time. It’s complex and although I’m a social worker, I’m not a psychiatrist so it’s hard to say for sure.

I just got out of a 12 day co-Ed detox/rehab (I’m clean & sober for the 1st time in 10 years). I met an amazing group of friends, but the transition from that has been difficult, I can’t imagine how it is acclimating after a prison stretch.
Our prisons are horrific, traumatizing for forever these men. I realize they are there for a reason but seems like we don’t believe we need to do better.

Hopefully in the next 8 months, she can get some breathing room and be in a better position for herself, her kids, and potentially Keith. 4 years doesn't seem like a long time but it makes a huge difference. I was in the hospital for 2 months and the day i left, I had terrible anxiety. I wanted to go back, I felt so sad, so uncomfy. It was very strange!

I am a victim of trauma. And I have to say I was triggered by the way Hope was acting with Arthur. She dangles the carrot. And she gaslights him.

People have to understand being locked up is always different for everyone, no matter how long or short the sentence is. Everyone experience is different.

I don’t see people as demons but I’m wary and shut down. Or he could have a history of mental illness that was triggered by the recent PTSD from his prison time. It’s complex and although I’m a social worker, I’m not a psychiatrist so it’s hard to say for sure.

I just got out of a 12 day co-Ed detox/rehab (I’m clean & sober for the 1st time in 10 years). I met an amazing group of friends, but the transition from that has been difficult, I can’t imagine how it is acclimating after a prison stretch.

4 years doesn't seem like a long time but it makes a huge difference. I was in the hospital for 2 months and the day i left, I had terrible anxiety. I wanted to go back, I felt so sad, so uncomfy. It was very strange!
