Great video because Bloody hell there is A LOT of interesting stuff going on here🤯😀 Surprisingly though I’ll only ask 1 question...... what kinda feed is that Sandy looking stuff and where does it come from??
Plenty going on alright, So what they mix is straw, meal and CreidExtra. CreidExtra would be the sandy type stuff, its basically just biscuits and mineral crushed together from what i've been told.. when fed to cattle gives them more energy and its high in protein. a lot of dairy farmers use it
i bet its both rolled and coverd in plastic and fermented. cind of like pickled cucumber. 😉 that can be stored for months outside the fridge in a sealed jar, but would tourn sour ore become compost if left open a few days-weeks.
Great nutritional mix but far too much work and machinery cost to get there, its complicated, if this farmer stocked to the farm carrying capacity and fed to yield in the parlour he would have a simpler life and similar bottom line profit
That's a busy yard, great video. 👍
Good Video & interesting to watch, nice work!!

You dont see this happening too often, serious set up, what was being mixed in, beet straw and something else?
straw, meal and CreidExtra is what's been mixed
That was an interseting vid to watch
How do you finish the pit? Is it covered from rain? Is it stable or needs to be rolled and fermented?

Never seen this before. What were they mixing with it.

This is not a day a dairy farm, this contractor produces this feed mix to supply local farmers in the area as he grows the beet and that himself.
