- Here's a great way to freeze wild caught sockeye or coho salmon. Purchase it when its on sale, then freeze it so you can enjoy it when the price goes up. This short video will save you money and help your salmon stay fresh. After thawing, shake on a little Feisty Fish Rub or Jammin' Salmon then grill, bake or broil. Recipes for salmon can be found at www.momsgourmet.net
I love that this video is uncut, looks so genuine ! Thank you for the video, I’m gonna use that technique
this is the cutest thing ever
Fantastic! Had no idea that I could freeze salmon. This has changed my life 😊
Love this, though, after putting it in foil, i would still put it in a freezer ziploc bag, i fee l like it would add to the protection. I used to freeze meet by only putting them in a freezer ziploc bag, but now i will try this.
Glad I found this. Been wanting fresh salmon, but didn't want to waste it because it's just me. I'm not too crazy about the boxed frozen salmon, but I eat it. I'll try freezing.
Thank you. I absolutely LOVE this.
Obviously a smart man! Great vid, thanks for the contribution!
Thanks for this! I buy salmon in bulk from Costco also so cheap. Great tips. So sweet of you guys.
It’s a great video, it would also be good to pat dry the salmon with paper towels before putting in foil because the water would crystallise once the fish freezes.
Thank you!
He takes five minutes to explain something that could be explained in 30 seconds. It must be fun living with this guy.
I'd rather live with someone like him than a hypercritical jerk like you who can't even show appreciation for the useful information he just got for free.
This video is great. Luckily, I landed on this after going through all the junk search results. Thank you for sharing this tip with us :)
Do you thaw it with the foils or take them out of foils and then put in water
Salmon shouldn’t be frozen for longer than 2-3 months and wrapped in plastic wrap first to really prevent freezer burn
He’s only been doing this for 15 years. I’d say this way of doing it works pretty well
thanks I have an idea already but I see your post . it a great help
Ty!!! I needed this.
Thanks! Nice rollie also
Great video...very helpful! Thanks!
Thanks the dad I never had lol
I would trim the thin tail section and belly strip.....making more squared-off thick portions.
Use those scraps in your smoker for "salmon jerky",...... ohhh yeah.......
Thanks for this tip!
Nice kitchen, the fridge is a little dated though.
Thank you! Very helpful!!
Life saver 🔥
I will try it!
Oh,, you use the shiny side against the salmon! Thanks
Do you unwrap the salmon from the foil to put it in the baking dish with water to defrost it?
uninewbies, i put mine to defrost in some water. take the foil off then bake
I let it unfreeze in the fridge, then when its soft again i cook it. I never used water.
Thank you
Good stuff!
Thanks.
Can you preseason your salmon prior to freezing and then bake the foil packets in the oven?
I do and it works just fine
Never preseason seafood
fresh salmon FROM COSTCO aint fresh, its already been prepared (processed, tenderized, and chemically treated) to sit on the shelf till someone buys it
And you think fish stores dont fool people??
😊
Or just cook frozen on foil exposed air fryer
How many day can we put it ?
Nope. You don't rinse the fish first. Use a freezer bag, lay the fillets flat, squeeze all the air out and seal, then wrap in three layers of newspaper to avoid freezer burn.
It's aluminum foil, not tin foil.
Old man live his life according to rules and regulation 😆😆😆
From Costco. Yuck!,
Thanks!!
