Yeah it's a fairly new company and I'm sure we will see many things being adjusted for the better in the future. I'm sure a simple code in the data system could "cut off" charging when needed. Or something like that. They just went from 10 employees to 50 during the last year. So not long now before these "small" things could be done better. The bike doesn't "need" 3 keys though. If you don't use steering lock or the small tank space then all you really need is the small keytag for turning on/off the bike. =) Thanks for watching and for taking the time my friend.

Hi from Ireland 🇮🇪 great review I'm an old biker and considering this rather than Asian built ev bikes currently on the website price is over €12k so I'll wait and see if this No1 drops a bit
Sláinte Brian. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed my video. I wouldn't trust the Asian build bikes too, with RGNT you get good handbuilt swedish quality rather than some mass produced asian junk. About the price, I don't think that will drop anytime soon. We are still young in the EV era and prices will be high for the next 5-10 years for all EV machines (just my guess). So waiting wont do you any good I suppose. Price may be high but I would consider it an investment and you can ride it for basically €0.1 per 10km. Plus that they are constantly improving the bike and adding more to it, which might even make the bike more expensive. The one I rode in this video had the 1.6 version but now they are on the 2.0 version. I'm going down there again this coming summer and will try out the newer version to see what's been improved or not. The 2.0 version has a boost feature which will give you an extra punch for a few seconds and if you twist the throttle the other way you will gain some extra regen... Thanks for watching
@@Darkvisor Cheers Dark visor, nice to get more info about the bike and development from you,I really like the fact you just plug them in at home too I heard horror stories about ev charging points having to pre-book them with an app not being able to pay with cash ect, I live in rural Ireland and similar "lanes" you were testing the bike avg speed 40-60kph but still like a little sprint now and again 😜 I'll start saving hard then!!!! Thanks again for the feedback look forward to seeing the 2.0 test, you could test it here along the Wild Atlantic Way 👍
An honest review as always. As a biker I genuinely cannot consider them as an alternative as nothing like a petrol engine machine in any sense and apart from prices of them and range anxiety you discovered the biggest problem I found on test riding several makes.............people cannot hear you coming. I genuinely did not have anything like as much fun on even the most powerful version I rode. Calming and relaxing = a crash waiting to happen on 2 wheels, totally the opposite of the mind set you need to survive! It nearly was a disaster one afternoon as a dog nearly ran in front of me but luckily that bike had a loud horn and I saw it long before it came onto the road. I guess in countries like Sweden that might be a tiny problem with a Elk? As it is Swedish I know it will be well engineered but still not for me sorry.
Thanks for watching Paul. I appreciate it. Yeah deers, boars and moose. The one thing, except drivers, that we fear on the roads hehe. They can jump out anytime and wreck havoc. I have a friend who hit a deer going 100+ km/h with his honda cb1000r, he ended up at the hospital and I had to arrange for tow truck to pick the bike up from the ditch. (bike was able to be repaired, so was he). However, sound or no sound wouldn't help with animals though, I've been on straight pipes and they still run across the road... I have a "filtering" video on my channel, old video, where we ride through towns and in that video you can hear me doing revs and having straight pipes and you can see cars making space ahead in time before we came up to them so having loud pipes sure can be good =)
I don’t know. I asked that question to the company but never got a response. I think it has something to do with it having a hub motor and cbs braking. Maybe it’s not possible to have abs when using hub motor. Or might be some regulation... don’t know really. If I do get a response from them about that, I will get back to your comment with an update. :) Thanks for watching Alexander
@@Darkvisor thank you. I am actually very interested in this bike. Yes the price is not cheap but the specs are very impressive 21kw peak power, 300nm motor. Range and battery size are etc are over the usual ratings. And of course the classic look is really good. I wonder when we will get to see testers showing the new 2022 version which they pretty much overhauled
@@Seitenwerk I'm riding the 2022 version in this video. It's the latest one I think. But they have released a limited edition called: "The No.1 Classic SEL" which is also ride in this video. I'm actually riding the two different bikes in this video, the battery needed recharge so they have me the other one. well it might not have been the fully SEL version though but a prototype. It did have the extra power and the "one pedal drive" meaning if you pull the throttle the other way, it "engine brakes". You can see me doing it in this video if you look closely at some clips =) The SEL version was waaaay more fun and awesome than the regular one. You really felt the increase of power. Sadly it seems its only a 30 bikes limited edition on it. But the company is growing fast and they didn't say it to my face but I could understand that they had much planned for the future when it comes to power and range etc... If you have the cash, I'd say go get one! I'm not getting paid to say this but it really is my own opinion =) I wouldn't say no to one.... ;) If you have more questions, feel free to ask. I am welcome down to them for more testing this summer so I can bring with me any questions that you have that I might not know the answer to already. =)
@@Darkvisor the new version which they claimed to be the 2022 model, will come out around Fall of this year. It has motor and suspension improvements, battery size increased, fast charging (type 2 plug which now sits on top instead of the side) plus a different much more modern screen without plastic border. Motor power also increased and of course with battery size also range. They currently only show and sell it on their new website (and there are no customization option anymore). So far I haven’t seen anyone showing it in real life but it’s probably to early yet. There also seems to be an app which they didn’t show. It took me a awhile for finding that out as I thought the website version is just a rendering which would not look like the final product until I saw them talking about this new version
@@Seitenwerk Ah you know more than I do. They didn't let me in on this when I visited them. Maybe it wasn't official yet by that time. Does your speed data automatically upload to the Cloud for the Cops? ;) That will spook a few away hehehe.... Stylish looking bike though. Good starting point for e-motorcycles. Need longer range, and a bit more top speed and power I reckon.
No I don't think so. But only RGNT Motorcycles can answer that question, you'd have to ask them. Longer range and more power = more expensive. This is basically a communter bike and not for longer traveling, hence the price being where it is... =) Thanks for watching Gary
@@garyk8285 the only ones who has access to the bikes computer are RGNT when they access the computer through its IP adress. I don't even think you, as an owner, can access that information. jo, communter är precis vad de är i dagsläget. Så är det för de flesta elhojar i dagsläget pga låg range. Lots of talk about the advanced electronics but still has a range that's less than half of my average Sunday ride distance. Furthermore, anyone who thinks a quiet motorcycle is safe has never ridden in heavy traffic or hit a deer on a back country road. I love the design but they are making the same mistakes as all the other electric bike companies. If you want to build a bike that riders want, you have to start with the riders themselves.
I've ridden in heavy traffic daily. Quiet/loud has nothing to do with motorcycle safety. Ding dongs will abruptly change lanes right into you, regardless of how loud you think you are. You need to depend on your own skills and situational awareness, not loud pipes. ;-)
Yeah most EV bikes are too expensive. It's still a "new thing" the whole EV branch so prices are up. With time, I think the prices will be normalized but might take a few year =/ Thanks for watching and please subscribe! I'm going to try another RGNT this year and they have improved it much since my last test ride
@@Darkvisor fair point but i assume these are just settings per journey and a bike should not have a distracting screen, really dangerous! need eyes on the road to watch out for idiots in cars!
@@griffo-griffo basically the whole AI of the bike, that controls the whole bike, is in that "ipad" sure they could move it somewhere and just have a "speedometer" but that would remove the gps/map, controller settings, boost-mode options etc. it's not for everyone, I get that. Personally I don't mind it. =)
Jo priserna för elhojar är fortfarande mycket. Ny teknik kostar. Men man får tillbaka en del på "tank-kostnaden" som ligger på ca 1kr/mil =) De går ju att köpa billiga bensinhojar, nya, för 100 lök mindre. Men då får man inte samma kraft eller teknik.
@@Darkvisor Cheers Dark visor,
nice to get more info about the bike and development from you,I really like the fact you just plug them in at home too I heard horror stories about ev charging points having to pre-book them with an app not being able to pay with cash ect, I live in rural Ireland and similar "lanes" you were testing the bike avg speed 40-60kph but still like a little sprint now and again 😜 I'll start saving hard then!!!!
I have a "filtering" video on my channel, old video, where we ride through towns and in that video you can hear me doing revs and having straight pipes and you can see cars making space ahead in time before we came up to them so having loud pipes sure can be good =)
I need this bike now, perfect for what I need as a first bike! Sadly won’t be available in time for me :/
Thanks for watching Jay
@@Darkvisor thanks for uploading!
Any plans on an ABS version? Last time I heared ABS is now required by law for new manufactured motorcycles if it is true ?
I don’t know. I asked that question to the company but never got a response.
I think it has something to do with it having a hub motor and cbs braking. Maybe it’s not possible to have abs when using hub motor. Or might be some regulation... don’t know really.
If I do get a response from them about that, I will get back to your comment with an update. :)
Thanks for watching Alexander
@@Darkvisor thank you. I am actually very interested in this bike. Yes the price is not cheap but the specs are very impressive 21kw peak power, 300nm motor. Range and battery size are etc are over the usual ratings. And of course the classic look is really good. I wonder when we will get to see testers showing the new 2022 version which they pretty much overhauled
@@Seitenwerk I'm riding the 2022 version in this video. It's the latest one I think. But they have released a limited edition called: "The No.1 Classic SEL"
which is also ride in this video. I'm actually riding the two different bikes in this video, the battery needed recharge so they have me the other one. well it might not have been the fully SEL version though but a prototype. It did have the extra power and the "one pedal drive" meaning if you pull the throttle the other way, it "engine brakes". You can see me doing it in this video if you look closely at some clips =)
The SEL version was waaaay more fun and awesome than the regular one. You really felt the increase of power. Sadly it seems its only a 30 bikes limited edition on it. But the company is growing fast and they didn't say it to my face but I could understand that they had much planned for the future when it comes to power and range etc...
If you have the cash, I'd say go get one!
I'm not getting paid to say this but it really is my own opinion =) I wouldn't say no to one.... ;)
If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
Maybe I will get to try the new version this summer then (or fall). Stay subscribed to my channel and I'm sure you will see a test ride video of it here sooner than on other places =)

@@Darkvisor not a fart but a ♥️
Would be great for an off-road bike nice and quiet in the countryside and maybe needs a bit more range or faster charging.
Thanks for watching
Just curious... how many KMs did you do in total?
About Two full batteries. They lent me two bikes so I could ride a whole day (about 6 hours)
Thanks for watching
Does your speed data automatically upload to the Cloud for the Cops? ;) That will spook a few away hehehe....
Stylish looking bike though. Good starting point for e-motorcycles. Need longer range, and a bit more top speed and power I reckon.
No I don't think so. But only RGNT Motorcycles can answer that question, you'd have to ask them.
Longer range and more power = more expensive.
This is basically a communter bike and not for longer traveling, hence the price being where it is... =)
Thanks for watching Gary
@@Darkvisor Yeah, I was joking about the Cops part, but yeah, it is a genuine issue around privacy if your travel logs are available online.
@@garyk8285 the only ones who has access to the bikes computer are RGNT when they access the computer through its IP adress. I don't even think you, as an owner, can access that information.
I think somewhere in their contract when you buy the bike, the terms are.
Haven't read them though, but I also don't own that bike...
I still think that they should cover the fridge ;)
Cover the fridge?
@@Darkvisor I somehow thought you seen my video about EV's and that bike as well ;) I said they look like a fridge with wheels and someone need to tell "them" to cover it
@@UncleLongbeard ah yes I did watch your video actually, just didn't remember that part. i recall you had the RGNT in there for just a second or so =)
That screen kills it

So all RGNT is being tracked at all times by the RGNT factory?
Maybe not when it's turned off but yeah...

Love the design… only issue I’d have is with the display and seemingly clunky software…

New tech in a classic look = futuretro?
Futuretro! Love it 👍
känns som en "commuter" hoj... och då känns 120k sek rätt mycket. :/ men men, vi får se vad dom gör i framtiden, man kanske ändrar man sig?:D
go video annars DV👌👌🤌🤙🤙
Lots of talk about the advanced electronics but still has a range that's less than half of my average Sunday ride distance. Furthermore, anyone who thinks a quiet motorcycle is safe has never ridden in heavy traffic or hit a deer on a back country road. I love the design but they are making the same mistakes as all the other electric bike companies. If you want to build a bike that riders want, you have to start with the riders themselves.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your opinion about the bike. :)
I've ridden in heavy traffic daily. Quiet/loud has nothing to do with motorcycle safety. Ding dongs will abruptly change lanes right into you, regardless of how loud you think you are. You need to depend on your own skills and situational awareness, not loud pipes. ;-)
good on you for taking it on the dirt roads! i still don't like it though
Thanks Allan =)
Yeah this bike not be in everyones taste but I'm happy to hear that you watched my video and made a comment =)
Take care
Looks beautiful but unavailable in Canada and overpriced sad
Yeah most EV bikes are too expensive. It's still a "new thing" the whole EV branch so prices are up. With time, I think the prices will be normalized but might take a few year =/
Thanks for watching and please subscribe! I'm going to try another RGNT this year and they have improved it much since my last test ride
cool bike but would be so much more cool with round instruments rather than what looks like an ipad on the handlebars!
Yeah it doesn’t fit the retro look. But I think it’s still okey. A mix of the old and future :)
@@Darkvisor i reckon the 'ipad' might fit in the tank compartment and a nice round retro clock could be fitted.
@@griffo-griffo you control the bike and gps etc from the "ipad" so having it in the compartment wouldnt work.
thanks for watching
@@Darkvisor fair point but i assume these are just settings per journey and a bike should not have a distracting screen, really dangerous! need eyes on the road to watch out for idiots in cars!
@@griffo-griffo basically the whole AI of the bike, that controls the whole bike, is in that "ipad"
sure they could move it somewhere and just have a "speedometer" but that would remove the gps/map, controller settings, boost-mode options etc.
it's not for everyone, I get that. Personally I don't mind it.

great vid but please dont say it has an engine! it's a motor! (end of pedantic comment!).
Well said. Unfortunately people aren’t as smart as you so it’s easier to just say engine. But you’re absolutely correct ✅

Dont like the huge Chuck of plastic where normaly the engine is
That's the battery, inside the "chunk of plastic" =)
Gotta have it somewhere right? =)
Thanks for watching
@@Darkvisor i know its the battery still ugly as hell
300NM är mer än bilfan ju
Jo. Elhojar och elbilar har ju full kraft från starten. Istället för att komma upp i högt RPM där kraften normalt ligger. Så har du samma kraft direkt från start =)
🤮
Luulen, että sähkömoottoripyörät eivät sovi kaikille. ;D
Kiitos Katsomisesta
personally no, what is wrong with a good old petrol engine? this is pathetic
Electric bikes and cars are the future sadly. Gasoline will still be around for some time but almost every car brand will only be making electric cars soon. so the motorcycle industry will soon follow. I prefer gasoline myself but I still enjoy to ride electric also. but you and I will probably be too old or dead when ALL bikes will only be electric hehe
