My guess D3. We kill her with her sister, Savathuns help and together with the help from the "spirit" from oryx we use them 3 as help to kill/defeat winnower.
@claytonervin2696 The Winnower is a concept, you don't kill concepts as they're fundamental parts of existence/universe and will overpower us always. You would need some God tier writers to make it believable lol.

@claytonervin2696that certainly is a guess. But youre ignoring the fact that 1) Savathûn hates us for killing Oryx (again) and 2) feeding back into the first one ORYX IS DEAD his memory and everything is gone
he was never the winnower in fact, we learned how his power was involved with them in heresy you basically teleport that person/object too them/in them and they do the magic or is dead dead it is literally confirmed. He can physically never come back now unless they tied a ghost to his dead body like they tried to ghost of the deep, but that’s a whole different thing and a whole different oryx

@PanoptesDreamsthey did communicate it, in a very small bullet point way back before Ash and Iron. A few people speculated why, since we didn’t get so much involvement from the character since (some connected to Arms Weeks and Solos). But that all could be bread crumbs to lead up to something like in this theory.

Astraea and Sotaria both involve Europa & Neomuna. What is significant about these two locations is that this is where we first encountered Stasis and Strand, our two darkness subclasses. Call me crazy, but if this is a future expansion, I would expect getting both Stasis 2.0 and Strand 2.0 at the same time.
titan stasis super, TCrash but stasis. they fly in, hitting a target gives slow and shatters while spawning a circle pattern of stasis crystals around the target.

Where are the neomuna bodies
I always felt like we would return to Neptune because besides learning more about Maya there and the cabal invasion, Neomuna’s story didn’t feel done to me.
Also I feel like Neptune will be where we as the guardians finally takedown the conductor. But also in one of the key art pieces of Lightfall the titan is holding a grenade launcher (looks like a special ammo one) that wasn’t released yet

Seriously with this guy and byf and their knowledge of the lore could really help D2 Devs create some awesome story telling and build round that plus the guy that built the raid for halo
Whatever happens moving forward…I hope the story can really gather steam. For those of us that were around in the season of the worthy to season arrivals, this may not be considered best seasons but they really created a sense of doom coming from the pyramids getting closer each week to arrivals showing us pyramids in several landscapes. I still remember playing at IO and looking up to the sky to see little pyramid ships flying above you. It really felt like an invasion and had everyone excited. I believe the start of the light and darkness saga felt like it had so much potential but post witch queen it real fell flat through lightfall. Final shape I felt like did the best it could for the story but so many shortcuts were taken it just felt like the stakes were just not that high even though bungie was telling us they were. So I hope whatever bungie chooses story wise they can commit to and deliver on cause the pyramids mostly being empty just felt awful along with the witness being a collective of the beings of the pyramids.

What's left of her. She was badly damaged by the vex attack on Ares Spire and can only function as guidance telemetry for directing arrows. Her fragment sent to Neomuna before her imprisonment by Clovis has been held intact by the Cloud Striders, and what the Vex were trying to free within their strider network.
She's currently awaiting reunion with Astraea, released by us from Vesper Station and sent to Neomuna in Heliostat.

Honestly, I could see Bungie using this to reincorporate the Leviathan raid(s) back into the current game with Maya being the "puppeteer" behind Calus this time like how we found out he was a robot after completing the OG raid. Not a bad way to reuse old content to "freshen up" the game.
