Im a pilot from malta. The runway on the main island (you used the one in Gozo) is actually one of the larget in europe. When we practice Practice Forced Landings in Gozo, we use the racetrack rather that the runway you used which is actually a Heliport, not a runway. :)

When I was doing my pilot license, I landed in a heliports upstate New York, running serious low on fuel. But it was a bit of deal. The pump station was located uphill and extremely narrow taxi strip even for C-152. Takeoff fucking scary, super short, good thing that it’s was into a valley below. Would for sure not try that again 🤞

2. Gozo is the name of the island you tried landing planes on. Malta is the name of the big island they are the same country.
3. Check out the main island, has a 3500m runway.
4. That field is a horse track.
1:26 there is a button next to the throttle settings that says: "reverse axis" so the throttle is actually correct.

It's true, the Sikroski-76 does have a inverted throttle, even when I start it up in x plane 10, and I do the takeoff, the heli just spins around and I try to control it.
Tip for tail draggers try to get the back wheel on the ground whiles braking and pull back on the stick
Grimley was an old runway turned into a drag strip. If it wasn’t for the guardrail down the middle of it, it would’ve survived undamaged.

Hey @Swiss001 I’m from Malta 🇲🇹 ! I’ve been watching your videos for many months now and I truly enjoy your channel... As per usual, when I received the notification that you uploaded a video I pressed on it.. and I was caught by surprise.. Swiss001 is flying in Malta! 😂 . Reminded me of my childhood, I used that heliport (in actual life) many years ago, like 2002.. it’s barely ever used nowadays.. and also many years ago, I used to fly and land on that track when playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004! What a nice surprise 😋.

The GIMLY (not Grimly) glider did not land on a go-kart track. It landed on an abandoned runway that was being used as an autocross course.
You need to learn to sideslip an approach. You can get your landing distance right down when you do this. Its also a very handy skill for real life flying.
Do the chalange again but now with the biggest planes in xplane but now set the settings to a hard belly wind.
